Good Morning Girls
Does anyone subscribe to Pinterest ? I joined a few weeks ago and am hooked on looking at other people's cross stitch pins. There are so any freebie charts available especially small Christmas pics which I'm stitching up for cards.
Right, going to spend 15 mins on the Guardian cryptic crossword now - it is posted on their website at midnight and keeps me up until 1am.

I am not a member of pintrest but a member liked my purple work on FB - so I have a mention on her page -

Off to do more stitching on my Sandy Hook stitches. Upset as I thought I bought enough squares but two are smaller as the seller had included the border in the sizing - so not exactly square.
Keep well everyone

Hi ladies. For some reason ive not been getting any email notifications so I thought no one had been posting.
Just finished work so hopefully do some stitching later. My sewing machine blew up yesterday so all my other craft projects are on hold for the foreseeable futureI'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0 -
Love the Lady with the Birdcage and everyones finished items, hoping seeing them is the boot up the behind for me, just struggling with the final blended threads of a MP bookmark - I know you can see the difference in the thread colours but blimey its hard to stitch and Ive possibly only got 100 stitches left to do.
All set in neew job and got my 'puter finally working now just got to get used to the cycle ride in and out of work - i cant keep falling asleep at 1930 i miss all my stitching time.
Right off to work out how to get this so i see it on the ipad and to hopefully get some stitching in. Better be some Miss M or poirot on the box.0 -

Julie - petition signed for you. Lovely card and keyring really pretty.
maria - love the baby card what cute toes. Good value too with the choice of three colours.
Chicky The DOH is beautiful. Glad you managed to find a pattern for the words as it really finishes it off. A lovely saying.
Winnie the bear is lovely. Gorgeous colour of lilac too.
Charlierabbit that tiger looks absolutely amazing. It would be a shame if you didn't finish it it you are halfway there already.
Caroline glad you have got your house straight. Nothing worse than boxes everywhere when you are trying to find stuff.
sweetcarer what are Sandy Hook stitches?
JCS1 looking forward to seeing the completed Buttercup farm. The lady with the birdcage looks amazing. I would love to see that finished.
Haven't done any stitching last couple of nights as I was too tired but hope to get some done tonight. DH has also fixed my lappy so will sort out a flickr account so I can join in the sharing.0 -
sweetcarer what are Sandy Hook stitches?
It is for a group via Facebook. I am doing 9 squares - 6 for the teachers, one for the school, one for the hospital and one for one of the kids with same birthday as me. A few of us in here are doing stitches.
Here is the quote from the site page:
This group is created in honor of those impacted by the tragedy that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The idea is to xstitch squares that will be made into a wall hanging or small quilt for each family directly impacted. Additionally, one larger wall hanging will be made for the school.
The sizes of squares we are looking at making are overall 10x10 or 12x12, but whatever you can make is appreciated. We are also looking for anyone who can quilt who is willing to put each one together.
Please use 14 ct, cream aida, but if you do not have cream any light colored aida will do. Also, sign-ups are being posted for each family, and the school. Just make sure to sign-up only what you are comfortable doing, we would appreciate if everyone did at least one family square and one school. However, if you are more comfortable doing two school that is fine as well.
Hope that helps
Kind wishes

Thank you JCS1, I will save the link but am still keeping to my resolution below!
Had a lovely weekend away. Am now tucked up indoors in the warm, having spent two days freezing. Went to the Turner in Margate..... not impressed at all! Best bit was the workshop room where people were weaving, knitting and embroidering.Cross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0 -

Going to start a cover kit whilst trying to decide which one to start next.0
