sweetcarer - both look great but if I had to choose I would go for 28ct. Hth.

    I agree, they look lovely.

The framed piccie looks really lovely!

Brednall - I think I have the hands off one saved, I can't remember who it was who was stitching them. I thought perhaps sweetcarer, hmm.

Ruth Honey - Are you able to make the show on the thurs, thinking less busy, more room in workshops. :) Don't worry if you can only do the weekend.
  • Emma I just googled free bookmark cross stitch and lots came up hth x

Sweetcarer - your snowdrops are really nice. They work on aida and evenweave but my vote goes for the evenweave.

BEG - the card looks even nicer as a picture and will be kept. I alwats worry thatcars get thrown away as people don't realise the work that goes into them, whereas a picture gets kept.

Brednall - have you checked the makingspot. I downloaded a chart for 3 bookmarks and I think it cost £1.49, they are really nice and in my opinion well worth the money. Here's the link https://www.themakingspot.com/cross-stitch/pattern/moving-home.

Forgot to say thanks to FOS for the link to ezeframe. Will cost approx 35 to get frame from them. Nearly ordered the mount as only approx £6 then found postage was hoping£ 5.50ish. Lovely site though spent ages playing on it.

Maria - your square is really nice and completey different. Have bookmarked the site as there are a number os things I wouldn't mind stitching from it.

I wonder (off topic) if any of you have made your own jewelry in the past? I quite fancy having a go - well making this kind of thing first but have no idea where to begin -
I will need a few tools but not sure exactly what and wondered if anyone could offer me any pointers. (perhaps suggest an online retailer to buy supplies).

Thought there might be a designated thread on here but haven't found anything.

I have dabbled, and found the site beadsunlimited to be very useful for beginners and their prices are very reasonable. For the letter beads for the bookmark you have listed, look on ebay for wholesale batches from china, they should be even cheaper.

There used to be a long running thread in this section of the forum but I cannot remember what the title of it was :o Hopefully it will come back to me.

JCS1 - I love the Peak district picture, it's lovely and so detailed:T Buttercup farm is beautiful, that's just the sort of scenic design I like, I might add that to my list, but only if I can find the chart by itself :)

Sweetcarer - AOY squares are lovely, it's such a pretty alphabet that one and appeals to everyone. Oh and the heart design is just lovely :)

Laura16 - I will probably get to the next page and discover which kit you have picked next, but I like the Disney one with all the characters :D

i almost want to get woXS to see how bad that flowers really does look

:rotfl:hehe, I meant to post a pic of the (in my opinion) 'ugly' flowers so here they are:

Mags - I know what you mean about needing to do somethign more colourful. I'm sure you will get back to your HAED - I usually do one page, do something else then go back and do another page a while later. Regarding the needles, I always go for the gold plated ones, they have that nice smooth feeling that you describe/ That said, I tend to use a needle constantly so they are silver by the time I either lose it or the eye breaks :rotfl:

Ailsb - Looking forward to seeing the eye completed :D Hope things were okay at the hospital x

mrsmp - Glad you managed to get your heating fixed. One thing I really hate is being cold at home
Your square is lovely, that border is so pretty and sets off the butterfly perfectly :)

AM - The home sweet home card is lovely, I have that kit in a box somewhere. Glad your son is settling in - kids always do that to their parents :rotfl:

nmm - Good to see you are keeping at BD :j
