brednall - I have never heard anything about not being able to sell kits.
I would be more disappointed if they stopped old charts being sold on ebay - there are so many designs that I have fallen in love with and sourced the design and ended up buying an old magazine chart to get it because it isn't printed anywhere else. :(

    Off Topic:
Have 'acquired' DS's ipod and downloaded app which is like one of the machines that used to be at the amusement arcades at the seaside and its a bit like Tipping Point on tv and I'll just say I think I might be addicted .

Is it 'Coin Dozer'? I downloaded that app this week and am slightly addicted to that myself (that and 'words with friends' on FB):o:rotfl:

bossymoo - Yup, you can tell they're windows :D How are you getting on with the black fabric?

Ailsb - Your eye is stunning :T It's not the one I was thinking of, but I love the patterns on it, where is that design from?

Maria - That quilt square is very pretty. I am bookmarking the design as I think it would make a good background for something, with wording on top.

Sweetcarer - I prefer the 28ct, and especially if it has BABS in it, it makes things easier.

    b_e_g - It's very pretty, I'm sure she will love it :)

    Hi ladies.

Nmm. Nice BD update, it's coming along nicely.

Mrsmp. Lovely SH square. Look forward to seeing the Dragon progress.

Crafty. Your Flapper designs are stunning! I really like them.

Brednall. re ebay message. Personally, unless it was frem ebay I'd be inclined to ignore it.
Hope you do well at the fair this weekend.

BEG. I know exactly the app you mean and have several of them myself! :D Just search for coin in the app store and take your pick.
I'm sure your Niece will love the picture, if she doesn't send it to me, I think it's lovely :)

    Bossy. Nice update.

    Ailsb. Love the eye!

    Maria. Nice finishes.

    Hi all

I was wondering if I could join you all. I have loads of x-stitch stuff and really need to start making more of it rather than thinking that it looks lovely in the magazine, ordering all the bits to make it then not doing anything. I started doing x-stitch when I was young and have done it on and off for the past 30 years. I recently got back into it again and have made snowflake napkin rings for xmas day and a picture for DS1 wall.

I am currently doing a Lickle ted x-stitch for DH for Valentines day and was going to give it as a card but have decided I will buy a small frame instead and give it to him as a picture.

I have one UFO which I started in 2003 as it was meant to be for DS1 bedroom (he was born in 2004). Needless to say it didn't get finished and was forgotten until 2010 when I was pregnant with DS2 and decided to do it for him instead - he is now 18 months old and it's still not finished!!! So that is on my definate to do list for 2013.

I will have to sort out a flicker account - next job as I really love seeing all your pictures.

welcome masieM, you sound like all of us lots of stash and plans so you'll fit right in here. look forward to seeing your photos

id ignore the message as well loads of people sell kits mags and charts, it wasnt ebay who sent it and for all we know it could be someone selling similar things that wanted you 'off their turf' or even someone who is hoping to get stuff cheap.

got to tidy the spare room so i can have a stitchy weekend between all the other stuff that planned. busy busy busy.

louise i see what you maen about the flower, very weird looking

Louise. Touched by Magic is coming along great! Remind me please, is this a gift for someone or for yourself?

  • Louise - congratulations on your prize. Thanks for sharing the pics of Touched by Magic - bet you will have it finished in 8 weeks :p:D). That's the one (Coin Dozer) - cannot get the coins to regenerate quick enough. Had it sussed yesterday - use the coins up and stitch while they regenerate (yaaayyy sorted) ;)

Maisie M - Welcome to the [STRIKE]madhouse[/STRIKE] Cafe. Good luck with your stitching and just remember ............. we love to see pics. :D

Spent all morning at hairdressers - quite a drastic change . Had shoulder length slightly naturally wavy hair (brunette) - I now have a short bob with lightish highlights. When I got home DS looks, studies for a while and says "That's it........ Mary Portas". Similar style (possibly) colour definitely different. Wouldn't mind her figure and bank balance mind you.

Just found out this morning that I will need a 70 age card doing during Feb.

Hope you all have a lovely stitchy weekend.

    Hello Girls

Hope you all well and not soaked through and blown away.

I need help to decide what fabric to do the snowdrops in - either 16hpi aida or 28hpi evenweave. I have stitched both on fabric I had in house - don't have any cream or white left, so had to use blue and I think it is ok the fabric colour as it shows off the white better in the flower.

    Here is some pictures

    Both

    16hpi

    28hpi
    108_0590_zps224eee16.jpg

Sorry about size of pictures. I know the back stitch is slightly different in each - it has that BABS in it.

Thank you in anticipation - I really appreciate it.

    Kind wishes,

    sweetcarer ;)

Both are lovely but my vote goes to the evenweave as I think the finish is much smoother
