  • Oh no Caroline, hope they ring soon.

I'm the same moments I reuse everything I can, I get some brilliant bargains in the off cut bin in my local sewing shop as well, and we have one charity shop that always has lots of material

  • I have had a busy day today, I have finally bordered my frog cross stitch and made it into a cushion. I bought a £1.50 cot quilt from the charity shop, unpicked it all, cut the material to size and the unpicked the cushion I bought from the Dunelm sale and remade using the new fabric and then attached it to the original cushion back.

I think it as turned out really well :j

  • Hello and Happy New Year to one and all :j
Sorry I haven't been around in absolutely ages. :o
You have all been so busy with your stitching, it will take me forever to read up to date!
I have been AWOL due to my health declining, and having a few operations.
But I have finally picked up my needle again, and got the stitchy bug back.
I have started up with a new kit - A dictionary of Bras, and so far it is going ok. Though I did have issues with deciphering where to use 2 strands or just 1, and ended up redoing a whole section after not looking at it properly. Oops.

Hope everyone is well, and I hope to be on here alot more this year!
    AM xx

FOS- how brilliant is it that your dad not only specifically requested pieces, but he even appreciated how much work had gone into them:T Your other finishes look great, I love ' daisy' and the quote best- how true!

Caroline- did you hear back from the doctor? How is Jaxon now?

AM - welcome back :) How are you keeping since your ops?

Doctor phoned back and we had to take him straight back to the hospital (thank God my Dad was able to run us about all day, would have cost £15 each way in taxis, so £60 in total).

They basically gave us a bottle of juice and a syringe and told us to get as much fluid in as we could (which is what we had been doing at home). Made us wait three hours and it had come down to 38.9 so we were allowed home. Seems like a wasted journey but I am so pleased as I was worried they would have put a drip in to get fluids into him.

Called into McDonalds on the way home and got him a Happy Meal and he ate about half of it, and drank an entire Fruit Shoot, running around now like a wee mad man, back to normal Thank God...xx

  • Glad you got something to eat and drink into jaxon, how is he this morning?

Morning all. Another weekend done and barely any cross stitch managed :( and I'm already breaking my new year's resolution of finding more projects that I want to do yet don't have the bits needed ...

caroline - glad little man on the mend.
