They look great especially in the 3 aperture frame.
At the weekend I framed the Christmas card you stitched for me and then forgot to take a photo before packing it away safely for display next Christmas0 -
I finished the cross stitch on a little needlecase which will be a gift and as the recipient uses MSE (though not the CS Cafe) I am only posting a photo of the kit. I still have to make it into a needlecase but all the CS is done - it was very quick and easy

I also did a bit more on my Stitcher's 12 days. Although the motifs are small they take quite a long time as they have lots of colour changes e.g. the tiny scissor fob has 2 shades of off white and 1 of red for the XS and 2 shades of red for the backstitch. Am enjoying it though

Sorry, long off topic reply incoming!flowerofscotland wrote: »OFF TOPIC Did you make your own invitations? DS's fiancee has asked me if I would make their wedding invitations and while I am very happy to do so I am a bit stuck for inspiration so any pointers would help.
I did as it happens (or am doing, making them up as we speak) Well the ones for the reception in the UK anyway... Decided not to have invitations for the wedding as only need about 10 and the minimum order for the ones I would want is 25
I ordered oversized postcards for the reception invitations and regular postcards for the inserts (RSVP and map) from Vistaprint (50 or 100 free at a time - just pay postage!) and trimmed them slightly to go into wallets I ordered from this site. I'd have loved to get these but they are way more expensive so just used the vertical ones turned sideways :money:.

The wallets are stunning, nice thick metallic card and such pretty colours. I also got the monograms, mounts and matching belly bands from there.

This save the date is a free magnet from Vistaprint, 25 free at a time I think so ordered 3 lots.
Will try and get a pic later of the wallet opened out, feel free to PM if you need anymore infoCross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0 -
Sorry more off topic info for FOS

I've heard good things about PDA craft or craft creations if you prefer suppliers in the UK.
There are loads more threads on the wedding board if you need more info.
My invitations have ended up costing about £1 each as opposed to £3-£4 for the ones I would have wanted (from Etsy!)
I'm sure you could do them cheaper than this if required if you did your own printing etc and did away with the pocketfolds.
Is time a factor? My vistaprint orders usually took about 3 weeks, I refused to pay extra for 'express' delivery. Factoring that, and waiting for the free links to come in my emails meant the whole ordering process took a good 4 months plus.
Also if none of the templates on Vistaprint float your boat you can design your own in publisher/photoshop or on a site like weddingchicks.com (loads of lovely stuff on here) and upload to the site, this does cost extra though. And be careful on Vistaprint, it's so easy to get carried away with all of the matching stuff you can get... Banners, folded business cards to use as place cards, t-shirts...

I stitched until silly o'clock last night - I'm almost done with my Autumn design.
I've decided to do my dad's cross stitch next, which is a DMC army uniform stitch. It's massive.
Hopefully I'll have enough posts soon to attach some pictures, so you can see what I've been doing. I love looking at everyone else's projects!0 -

Caroline sorry to hear about your wee man, i hope he's better now :A
moments_of_sanity, sorry not replied sooner, poor you i hope you are feeling better after your doggie incident. My 2 are always running into me when wrestling, you wouldn't think i had a blind 10yo, shes worse than the puppy now :rotfl: Here's the back of BD i just run the thread where it needs to be unless its too far, but some of the colours are single stitches 5-10 apart so i just run the thread under other stitches for those. Thankfully its all going to be covered in X stitches so no worries of anything showing through.
Update time again, managed to get quite a bit done so quite pleased. I don't think i told anyone here but for those that remember my swollen finger, i finally got it diagnosed as Tenosynovitis, which is a inflammation of the lining of the sheath that surrounds a tendon. I'm getting an injection in it today to try and reduce itI've not bent it properly since April last year
