Ok own up who ordered all the Let's sew charts from the patch work rabbit?

Just got an email saying they are out of stock as they have had a run on them for the last few days and would I mind waiting till she gets more Monday(i don't of course) and also asked if there was a stitch along goung on. Lol
OOPS, what a coincidence i posted the link a few days ago :rotfl: I haven't bought it personally though :)

Got my injection yesterday, it wasn't to bad till they pushed the syringe full of stuff into my finger, as you can imagine it swelled instantly with the extra liquid. Had pins&needles in it all last night, tried some stitching but it was quite difficult as i couldn't grip the thread manged to do 1m of floss in an hr, using the loop method so only actually 0.5m :rotfl: Its much better today so hopefully normal stitching will be resumed.

Thank you for all the kind words about the neatness of the back, i thought it looked quite messy but no-one sees it so who cares :D Theres even a knot in the picture above  :p

  • I'm thinking possibly pastel variegated on a beige, lavender or blue fabric.

That would be lovely - I love variegated threads; I had thought about white on a dark background but not sure that my eyes are up to that during the winter months
I was going to do the blue on white even weave, but I would really like red, but I know this is going to sound silly but I have done a lot of red lately and feel like I should use a different colour as there are a lot of other coloura lol

I'm up for a stitch along, how many of us are planning on doing this pattern? How does a stitch along work?

It's just a group of stitchers deciding to stitch the same pattern and post updates of their progress regularly. It isn't a race :rotfl: Not sure if anyone else wants to join in but I'm up for starting to stitch this when your pattern arrives and it will be interesting to see how differently coloured versions look.

The Mystery Garden Sampler UFO I finished recently was a SAL - there was a chart published online every month and a website where we uploaded progress pics. There were 4 colour versions provided by the designer (one for each season) but lots of people used their own fabric and thread variations so it was fascinating to see the different versions.
  • Sounds good to me flowers I will let you know when mine arrives

Hi everyone, sorry I have been awol for a while but I have been unwell (again), and haven't been able to spend much time at the PC as I was in pain, and I haven't done any stitching in ages either, but hopefully I will pick up my needle again shortly.

Anyways, you all remember how we spoke about '13 projects in 2013'? a while back, well I have set up a thread here, so if anyone wants to 'sign up', then please feel free and remember it's not just for cross stitching :D

PS. I have kept up with the thread, and enjoyed seeing all your work!

Started on my squares for the quilts thanks to Ruth-Honey for sending me materials. I am hoping to stitch 30, but due to my eeijet of a hubby don't know if I will have the funds to spare for aida....lol

I am slowly calming down and he had a chat today about what is next. He has already put his bike onto a few selling sites so hopefully that sells soon, and we are going to take a room at a time and ebay everything possible (wonder how much he would go for...lol)

Love the family rules Louise, and the bra and pants one Chicky, it suits me down to the ground,

The little stockings are amazing, but I am similar to Louise and have no sewing skills at all....although maybe a lot of them on one piece made into a cushion might be nice....xx

You're welcome. I wish I had more to send, but a lot of my material is evenweave or 16 or 18 count aida.

A little something I stitched over the holidays :

It's only a temporary frame - I think he needs a dark wood frame, so I'll pick one up when I see the right style.

The design is a free one from Teresa Wentzler. It's been on my "To-Do" list for many years, about time I got round to completing it. I made some amendments to the pattern - I didn't have the right metallics so left the borders plain and omitted it from the lightest yellow on the dragon. I still think he looks rather good. :D

    Now....back to Escher and monochrome...:rotfl:

Very nice! I don't think the frame needs to be changed either.
I have had a busy day today, I have finally bordered my frog cross stitch and made it into a cushion. I bought a £1.50 cot quilt from the charity shop, unpicked it all, cut the material to size and the unpicked the cushion I bought from the Dunelm sale and remade using the new fabric and then attached it to the original cushion back.

I think it as turned out really well :j

Love it! Well done for making the cushion with your bargains too. Very 'make do & mend'. I wish I had some basic sewing skills, so I could do that.

Just having a catch up. Not been online much for a few days. Had a major headache since yesterday. Think it could be caffeine withdrawal. Haven't had a coffee since Sunday. I don't think I drink too much, though. Maybe 4 or 5 a day?
