I'll take photos of Kiera the lamb tomorrow in daylight :D

Evening of sewing for me, hope everyone has a good weekend.
  • hi all, please can i join in (hellooo to all the let it snow/holly & ivy peeps!).
havent actually picked up a needle in almost 9 months, but determined to take up cross stitch again this year, and stitch all family bday & xmas cards. I also want to find a polar bear as an on-going large project for 2013!
problem is, i got rid of all my stash and am having to start all over again on a very small budget. can anyone recommend which mag is best to buy for small, free project designs, as i was planning on just buying some threads and aida for now. also, i always stitched with anchor before, anyone know of any deals at the mo?
    thankyou in advance
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

Check out https://www.themakingspot.com they have a sale at the mo and some charts are 35p :T most are about a £1.25. I just found lots to add to my wish list :)

Argh I've mis-counted, and have two sections (not very large ones) that I've stitched a row lower than I should have, any tips for correcting? Unpick, or stitch over? Argh.

How long would it take to pick and re-sew? What is the project and is it for yourself?

The only reason I ask is that if it something you were keeping for yourself you will see the fault everytime you look at it but if it is for someone else they may not see the fault.

I had to pick 4 lines of stitching out last night - well worth it now I look back but was unhappy to have noticed the mistake at the time.

I think you're right. It will be very noticeable, it's a small area but needs to be aligned with the next, bit cross (lol) with myself.

Welcome pink across town stitching is brilliant for threads and aida, and I would have a look at all the mags in the shop and see which one takes your fancy.

    Boo to unpicking Bossy

Unpicked, drama over ;) and I'll count twice or thrice next time. The pattern is large and on two sheets of paper with a two-row overlap and I'm easily confused :rotfl:
