I absolutely loved stitching this even though there were LOADS of fractionals :eek:
I would really like it framed (I was thinking red lacquer (sp?)). The trouble is I've never framed something before so I would like to frame something small first. Someone on this thread stitched a little blackwork owl a few months ago and my Nan loves owls so I thought I'd stitch it for her for Xmas and try and frame that first. If it doesn't work out I could always make it into a card for her.

I *hope* i've found a good enough match and as I didn't buy anything else treated myself for the £1.50 for my 2 threads.

I HOPE the red is the right one tho as got the number i needed but it looks far purplererer then the original...... gonna go check it now.

Fingers crossed you can't notice the difference in shades for both.

Off to see if I can get at least 1 more leaf done.

OHHH Maria the blackwork angel we were talking about.............that mag is still on sale - saw it in my hobbycraft tonight (sorry but at £4.99 I didn't get in incase you already had). let me know if you can't get it tho and I'll look in WHSmith.

Chicky .. Was it a vintage sewing box and threads you were waiting for? Email I've received today/yesterday indicates free snowman kit or vintage sewing box with threads when you take out new subscription .....

Hi,

yup that was the one.

I've called their bluff (but no respose yet) as another member kindly sent me her e-mail sent 4 hours before mine where they said they would post it as soon as they got stock. yet told me it was unlikly they would ever get the stock.

I'll give them till Saturday to reply then I'm putting in a formal complaint to their main office.

Grrr another night of not sleeping properly second night this week. Felt like I didn't sleep a wink last night (but I must have done) but not proper sleep - more like I was watching myself trying to sleep?

Craft club was fun yesterday. :j might do again today if we can :j

youve reminded me i also really liked that blackwork angel when i was flicking through mags in a shop the other week must go back and see if its still there.

finished nieces card and sent it off, havent done any stitchy stuff all week so need to get something done. have found the card i want to do so will hopefully make a start on that at the weekend. might try and build the keyrings ive done so far as well

Good Morning Ladies,

Have been lurking cos work has been really busy, loving everyones updates, keeps me very motivated to finish my own.

Finally have the time to start some new projects now that all unfinished pieces are finally finished:j. The snowmen took forever so am going to do much smaller pieces for a while.

If it is not too late can I sign up for the Xmas card exchange please:). I have never done anything like it before so any advice or guidance would be appreciated:D.
