would somebody mind posting my card on fliker for me pretty please.

finished one angel wing last night, hoping to make a start on the second one tonight, but I'm so busy today and then we are taking the Rainbows to brownies tonight so don't know if I will have any energy when I finally sit down tonight. Have given myself the target of finishing it by bedtime next Wednesday but we will see!

Not sure if I said that grandad has been ill, he's just rung to say that he is now worried to go out, he's not been out for 5 weeks, so think it is panicing him so I'm going to meet him for a coffee tomorrow

Arrrggghhhh have managed to get card pic onto Flickr but I wanted to put a few words with it and they are only appearing in my bit of Flickr rather than in the new thread. Sorry for being so thick but I'm being a bit distracted as we have water coming through the kitchen ceiling from the bathroom. This just tops things off after a carppy week.

Maria I was going to put post your pic but I think I will pass for now until my head clears a bit. Sorry.

Well once again I've been lurking for weeks but not getting chance to post.

I absolutely LOVE all your Christmas cards - its made me wish I'd made time earlier in the year to stitch my families. As unMSE as it is I had to go and buy the ones with family names on however, that ment I had time to make a lot of the gifts so overall it probably did save us money in the long run!

I've been stitching away on Make Do And Mend, my friend has helped me to change some of the colours as I'm now officially 75% colour blind so I had bo chance!!! I've also done my 1st paid piece - a mini St Pauls Cathedral kit for a lady I gave my card to over 18 months ago. With that I ended up missing the 12.12.12 deadline I had set for my Christmas sampler so that's now (hopefully) going to be my 20.12.2012 piece though I don't like the date as much!!!

I couldn't decide whether to add to my stash with some birthday money I got but in the end DH persuaded me it would be better spent on a subscription to one of the X stitch magazines that I always with I could afford but can't so I'm now waiting (not very patiently) for my 1st sub issue of Cross Stitcher!

Ohh, ment to say - Louise - really well done on the craft stall. i do at least one a month and that's a pretty phenomenal amount to make!

Anyway, this post has turned out to be longer than I intended. Merry Christmas to you all incase I don't make it on again for a while!

I loved doing it - thinking of doing part 2 to go with it - it wasn't difficult - just a lot of back stitching and algerian eyes. Seen a frame in ikea - so might take a trip out there when I am off on leave next.

Wondering should I order threads for my next project - I have to do two squares (both letter O) for an AOY quilt, but I have some threads coming from USA in exchange for a magazine - getting them for a couple of projects I have up my sleeve. I am also very tempted to do part two of the blackwork to go with purple work - do it in purple too

It has been a really long week and I'm so glad its the weekend ! One more week left at work then xmas holiday. yay!

I have a busy day planned tomorrow but Sunday should be restful so stitchy time then !

did anyone buy a so@p and glory boxset in b00ts today ? My local store had hundreds !! I wonder if they had any left when they closed this evening ??

I...am...knackered.....

I feel like I have not stopped for over a fortnight now - I'm up till 1am every morning just doing 'stuff'. I haven't got the Meerkat finished as I haven't had time to lift a needle. I had DD's friends round for a christmas tea party this afternoon, then we visited the inlaws.
I have just finished writing xmas cards and I have given mysef 10 mins on the computer before I go make a start on some wrapping :eek: Just remembered I need to make some more snowman soup for my sis tomorrow as well.


I did make it to the framers today though - £29 to get 12 days of Christmas framed, which is really good and about average for all the pieces I take in......but I got a shock when he said £56 for my mums picture :eek: Tbh if I had known it was going to be that much more, I wouldn't have got my own one done at the same time

Hope everyone has a nice weekend planned, I shall hopefully catch up with all the posts soon! :j
