12 12 12 project I realised at the weekend that I would not finish Christmas Cheer by 12th - had a houseful of visitors on Sunday and have been working late as well. So I switched to what I had planned as my 20 12 2012 project which is a little scissor fob. I've stitched it - the design on the front and the date on the back but haven't made it into a fob (or photographed it).
But here is a photo of Christmas Cheer which has progressed since my last update - I have actually done a bit more since this photo but there is still loads to do

I also made a cushion using a piece of cross stitch I finished years ago (I have to confess that I have a box of finished items that need to be framed or otherwise displayed )

Morning Everyone, Just had a look back over at the cards. Wow, I love that they are so varied and colorful. Fab stitches, so well done everyone and Thank you Caroline for setting it all up.

Sweetcarer - Purple work looks really amazing! Did it get very samey towards the end or was it a joy to stitch all the way through?

Fos - I really love the snowman cushion design, lovely swirls Is it a Lizzie Kate, if not who? Also what do the letters spell, my brain is mush at mo.

I don;t really go for cute n' cuddly but love the kitten in stocking card, esp the colors and effects used on the stocking.

Right without anymore faffing Here is a pic ( I hope if it works) of my lovely card from NMM. I tried to take a piccie that shows the shimmering fabric and the background detail as well as the back stitch, hopefully i succeeded.

Spent all day making 8 of these yesterday, I taught my niece how to make them for the school Xmas fair that is tomorrow and she ran out of time, so I helped her out going into school tonight to cover them in glitter, there is no way I'm letting a bunch of 9 year olds lose with spray glue lol

I know it didn't work and I don't know why, though to be honest I've avoided posting pics up till now, just can't get to grips... I managed to get it on Flikr though so half way there. Everyone makes it look so simple.

Good idea about the remaining photos

It was okkk. It has come out alright with camera angles etc. I think my disapointment was due to the acting (or lack of) and the fact is is now lacking reality in a big way so they have mobile phones/ cctv etc yet they have had to stick to the reality of what happened at the end (which we know wouldn't happen in 2012........does that make sense???)

I also saw the original DVD (a few years ago) and to me the new Jesus 'winner' was lacking serious power. Mel C was good and Tim Minchin (but I am biased........drooool).
I don't think it gave me any of the magic of the original - but I don't think that was due to the fact it was on DVD. I think I would feel the same if I'd seen it 'live'.

I saw they were re-touring, not near me tho as they came here last year.

I was thinking the same about the cushion, but concluded they were random letters (possibly family initials?)

flikr (the way i do it)- get up pic. go to actions. share. chose your size. right click - copy image location.

click the piccie image (above your MSE text box) - paste this URL (should end '.jpg') into the box.

a voila.

I must admit I was thinking of you when I wrote that :rotfl:

But it does help when I'm looking for gifts. And my Dad (who is the hardest person to buy gifts for) has asked if he can have one of my large xs pictures as his Xmas present. That will be the excuse to get something else framed and on display
