So while being kept up last night I started reading my magazines that I bought at least I fortnight ago and hadn't got round to even taking out of the bag :rotfl:

One of these was Enjoy Cross Stitch Christmas Magazine

I umm and ahhed over it in the shop and am so glad I got it, it has loads of cute card designs that I love and then I found this (sorry for the wonky pic!)

I love it, it's so cute!! The head gear, 'sky' and saddle are bits of fabric appliqued on, I've not seen anything like it. If only I'd seen it earlier I would have wanted to stitch it for this year :D That means is definitely on the list for next!

Hope everyone has a good Friday x

That is sooo cute. I love the way the frame is patchwork to match the picture!

    Good Evening Girls

    Happy St Andrews Day!

Hope all are well and keeping warm - it is so very cold out there.

Had a nice day off because of St Andrews. Went to frame up my wee card for the exchange and found the pattern is a wee bit small for the aperture so doing a wee bit of alterations. Then my brother popped by to take me to my parents to pick up my "new" car. Its bigger than my old one. Feel really nervous about driving it.

Well I was in Edinburgh yesterday for training and got home late and the day before at my own work place where I finished part one of my blue samplers. The guys I work with can't understand its a part series and think I am doing it again.

No work done on my purple work and still thinking what to do with my wee seasons.

    Keep well everyone

    sweetcarer ;)

I altered the wording to show month and the flower and I don't think my french knots look right - they remind me of lazy daisies. Might change them with beads sometime.

evening all  hope this all finds you well and staying warm and safe. It seems to have got very cold.

unlikely I'll be stitching anything this evening but lots planned for this weekend/next weekend and Thursday when I'm off :j

off topic question - have any of you read Stephen King's novel 11.22.63? It was recommended as a good read but having looked at the reviews online - well they are mixed. I resisted the temptation to pay the fiver for the kindle book but having collected what resembles a couple of house bricks this evening from the library, I'm contemplating paying the fiver after all!
  • TMIF - That's fantastic. Can we see it again complete with sweeties please :D

  • So - I know we mentioned a Round Robin thing...

I got my WOXS today, and there's a diary in there - with 12 lovely Joan Elliott designs, would be perfect I'd have thought....

Plus 6 others of course :)

    Anyone up for it?
  • :j:j:j:j:jWOW WOW and WOW again:j:j:j:j

I've just opened the post and my card from my exchange partner has arrived:D

It is absolutely exquisite and I can't wait to share the photo with you all but would that just bring on pangs of envy for those who will have to wait until next week?

A huge thank you to Mrs MP for stitching such a beautiful design. :TI'm already thinking about a suitable frame for after Christmas so that I can bring it out as part of the decorations every year.

That's my job for this afternoon (and probably most of tomorrow as well) - putting up the decorations. I enjoy it once it's done but I don't like going back and forth up and down the loft ladder - it used to be so much easier when there were other people in the house to help with that bit.

Almost feel guilty that I haven't posted my exchange card but it will be done on Monday (which I think was the agreed date).

Will we post photos of our cards into the CSCafe Flickr group account?

I will be back later to catch up but had to thank Mrs MP immediately.

Have a lovely weekend everyone - mine couldn't have started any better :j:j

  • Hellooo everyone, just got back from Harrogate tonight and we have had a wonderul couple of days and WOCS was waiting on the table for me. :j (Not going to open it until tomorrow (possibly) :D

maria - the little trees are so sweet. :)

tricksie - looking forward to seeing London Sampler.

sk00bie - the Nativity picture looks great - looks a bit different to a lot of other stuff.

sweetcarer - love your blue/white sampler.

TMIF - Thanks for sharing your Advent Calendar with us. It looks fantastic all complete and with the sweeties.

fos - you made me panic when I read your post re card - thought I'd missed the posting date while I was away. It's already done and sealed etc waiting for Monday morning. :)

Re the Round Robin - I would really like to take part but think I will have to pass this time as I don't want to let anyone down if I can't meet the deadlines. Another time perhaps may be different. Looking forward to seeing all the updates though and watching everyone's progress. Good luck to everyone taking part.

    Hope everyone is well.
