firefly369 wrote: »Chicky - Have you tried googling the make and model, perhaps you can find an online version of the manual.
Ruth - Very nice. Are you keeping it or is it a gift?
Laura - Good luck finishing your card. I can't wait to post mine on Monday.
Is there a specfic day for posting pics of the cards? And do we post a pic of the card we sent or the one we recieved. Sorry for all the questions, this is the first exchange I have ever done:)
Thank you. It was stitched for my hubby for our 10th anniversary (6 months ago!), so it's staying here.My mum stitched it as a wedding gift for some friends in America in September too. Then it turned out that they had the wording as a reading during the ceremony! She had no idea, but it made it even more special for them.
I've taken photos of the card I'm sending, just in case my partner doesn't have access to a camera/scanner. As soon as I know it's been received, I'm happy to post the photo up.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

I have a mid range Brother one which was £150, and is also very good, I can get you the model number if you want it.
What do you plan to do with it?
I only want to spend about £100 on a sewing machine. I want to do a bit of sewing in the new year like meding clothes and making small crafty bits.
I really need an easy to use one though
Sk00bie love the angels
Hope your feeling a bit better now Laura

Thank you sweetcarer!I shall keep checking back in over the weekend to see if I've hit lucky.
Worst case would be that I do have to colour match the threads to the stocking I've already completed. Not the end of the world but it would be easier to have the complete chart, especially if I wanted to loan it out to friends.I thought of making the colours unique for each of my girls but they want matching. My three year old idolises her six year old sister and everything has to be the same at the moment!lol.
Sounds like there's some lovely projects on the go at the moment,on the thread. ;-):female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010

Evening all - been busy here, just back at 10pm from a full day shopping in Glasgow with my mum, sis and aunt. Great day
Regarding the cards....I have to confess I haven't made the actual card bit yet, but I plan to complete it tomorrow so I will definitely make the deadlineI will post first class.
Ruth - Sorry to hear about the arguent with your friend. I think the email was the right way to go - it lets you get your side across and the ball is firmly in her court. It would be a shame to lose a friend but really, you can do without that sort of treatment.
Ps - A good marriage looks fantastic all framed up:j
JCS1 - I hate unpeeling double sided tape as well, however I found that using a set of tweezers works a treat :T
maria - you really think any of us mind you posting a pic of anything? :rotfl:What a GREAT train (and a reasonable price too) I will need to take a trip to Hobbycraft now
sk00bie - I am loving your little angels, they are adorable
I'm not sure when our tree is going up yet, I will see how much we can get organised this weekend and decide if we have enough time on Sunday. do you know what issue of cross stitcher it is that you are after? I think Cross stitcher used to print details on each page of the month of publication etc. very useful for peeps like me who chop the mag with the best of intentions and then end up with half a chart!0 -

They are lovely Maria, as is the train. Might venture to HC at weekend as would like one of these for next year!
London Sampler is pretty much finished, just a tiny bit of backstitch to finish. Got a perfect frame in 99p store so dead chuffed.
I've been working on my David Bowie picture the last week or so and am hoping to complete it by end of next week.
That leaves my Greek scene as my only UFO  Just the backstitch to complete, but it's all between the holes on 16ct Aida so I need really good light to finish it. Best place is the conservatory but need to put the heater on to sit out there and that seems a tad extravagant
Christmas tree is going up tomorrow :xmastree: Shopping is all done, presents are wrapped, just cards to write, but there are only about a dozen so doesn't take long. Still getting over the shock of paying £6.00 for 12 second class stamps!!Cross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0 -
Love the trees Maria
Haven't been doing much stitching I'm afraid, trying to get some Christmas decs finished so they can go up at the weekend! My cards are coming along during lunchtimes though.
I was up most of last night my gall bladder pain, first in about a year. Hope it doesn't mean more will come. Haven't wanted to eat anything in case it makes it worse so that's making me even more tiredRoll on 4pm is what I say.
So while being kept up last night I started reading my magazines that I bought at least I fortnight ago and hadn't got round to even taking out of the bag :rotfl:
One of these was Enjoy Cross Stitch Christmas Magazine
I umm and ahhed over it in the shop and am so glad I got it, it has loads of cute card designs that I love and then I found this (sorry for the wonky pic!)
Nativity patchwork by sk00bie81, on Flickr
I love it, it's so cute!! The head gear, 'sky' and saddle are bits of fabric appliqued on, I've not seen anything like it. If only I'd seen it earlier I would have wanted to stitch it for this yearThat means is definitely on the list for next!
Hope everyone has a good Friday xCross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0
