Huggles Ruth_honey, your "friend" sounds like my late sister and an ex-friend, if the world didn't revolve around them then the world was wrong!! I am just hoping that once the better weather comes around you will come over for a pub lunch again and we can chat about crafts (and maybe even "do" some!)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

maria the train is lovely.
saw a few different christmas cross stitch kits in the works at lunch time - £4.99 each or 3 for 2 or something like that.
I know the christmas calories don't count (I want to say it wasn't as nice as the one posted earlier but now I compare the 2 I'm not sure) was among them. can't rememeber what the others were.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

sweetcarer - those 4 seasons are nice quick stithces. Would they fit in something like this???
Do you know how to set up a group on facebook (I know a lot of Ann Summers reps use them..... let me know if you want me to set one up for you)
That frame looks good but I need them all portrait way and the size of each one is approx 2 inch by 3 inch. Regarding the group - will do that maybe next book - think I know how to do it but I know who to shout if I need to.blue_eyed_girl wrote: »[
DH has just put car in garage to check tyres and top stuff up and he said there is quite a frost on it already
I cover the back window and front window with plastic sacks - secured down with the wipers. Don't have a garage.
Ruth Honey - wish I was nearer and I would pop her one and give you a hug.
Twinkles - will have a look at my old mags at weekend - think I have 2005 cross stitchers but need to look.
Just wondering should I send my card recorded or not. Will have to remember to frame it up.
Well keep warm and well everyone till next time

bit off topic (well totally off topic actually) but are any of you masterchef fans?
I'm still catching up with last week's episodes so a bit behind at the moment but I wonder if any of you watch the show religiously - is it really possible to do all what these chefs do in just an hour ? I mean some of them reel of their menus and my mind boggles?! And when michel roux jr and Gregg Wallace ?! go round chatting - is this part of their hour cooking time or on top of? In fact why do they need a time limit?
I have to say that I would so love to go on the show, pull out a frozen pizza and oven chips, stick it on and then sit on the worktop in my area reading a trashy mag while everyone else fretted around me! of course would really upsell the pizza and oven chips to greg and michel and serve it on the plate as best I could ! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
What did you think of the sea urchin bit FE? and you wouldn't read a trashy magazine, you would have a small cross stitch on the go!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

sort of on/off topic
I have seen in B#S that they are selling sewing machines. In either red, pink or polka dots. Anyway I just wondered if anyone of you have sewing machines what you thought of them. Here are the details of it. It is worth me purchasing one or shall I go elsewhere. I dont want to spend a lot on a sewing machine.

Thank you everyone. You're helped me get through this afternoon. I had another email from her which was very nasty-and proves that not only does she not listen when I'm talking, but she didn't bother to read my email properly. She just sees what she wants to see & makes up the rest. Thinking back, she's been changing in the past few months. Not just towards me, but the way she speaks about other people has got more b!tchy and aggressive. She's driven most of her family & a lot of her friends away already. It's sad really, but she's burnt her bridges with me now. I won't be spoken to like that. What puzzles me is that she's annoyed with me for not texting/visiting when she was in hospital, so she 'punishes' me by not texting or contacting me. She just wants attention, but she isn't gonna get it from me from now on. I've deleted her from my mobile & blocked her email address. She still has DH's iPod shuffle, but he said he'll go & collect that if needed. I like to think I'm a good judge of character, but clearly not with her.
Anyway, on the plus side, I've now completely finished my exchange card, so that's ready to go on Monday. And I've done some more on my Christmas abc. I'm behind on my schedule with that, but the next letter should take less than 2 weeks, so I can catch up then.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

YAY ruth_honey good for you (and hubby).
catwomen saw that on grabbit thread. Reviews say don't bother to be honest as it won't be able to handle larger jobs. Must admit my Argos value one is fab (once you get over the jamming but I think that is more user error :rotfl:
FE I don't like the UK Masterchef, I don't know why - think it's the format. I am addicted to the Australian Version tho.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Cheers for that. Could someone recommend a cheap easy to use sewing machine then (ideally for the beginner) :rotfl:
