Been ages since I've done anything like that. At the very least we should all put our house number & postcode on the back of the envelope so it can be returned to us if needed. So excited to post mine!
You can claim up to £46 (I think, might have gone up slightly) if item goes missing from a proof of postage, but the paperwork is a pain to complete.0 -
Afternoon,
I must get my card exchange made up this weekend, I finished sewing it a few weeks ago but tend to leave the fun with the double sided sticky tape (I can never peel the backing off!) until I have a few to do.
Lost my stitching mojo, blackwork angel is put away for a while and started sewing and finishing some smaller projects, will post pics over the weekend.
Hope everyone is ok with all the floods, cold weather and bugs that seem to be doing the rounds at the moment.

Ruth - You don't need people who take and never give as friends. Yes it's upsetting and stressful when it all blows up, but in time you'll see that it's for the best (I certainly did when it happened to me).
Cup of coffee, maybe a walk to relax, and get back to the sewing0 -
Ruth I agree with jcs1 and you have explained your side so i would just see if she gets in contact, if she doesn't then its like jcs1 said you don't need people like that, sending you a virtual hug x13 in 2013 challenge 9/130

Thanks. It's getting to me a bit now. I was mad before, but now I'm crying. I hate feeling like a rubbish friend. She replied to my email, calling me rude and saying my behaviour recently has been discusting. I wasn't going to reply to it, but in the end I had to say my peace and defend her comments. But that's it now. I'm done. Could do with a real hug, to be honest...Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

You're not a rubbish friend, she is! Block her emails, block her on facebook, block her mobile number, life will become more peaceful and stress free without her.
And have a dodgy virtual hug :grouphug:
ETA - cross posted with Chicky, but same idea on blocking her.0 -
Yes block her Ruth Honey and have a big hug xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I shall be sending my card first class - won't be bothering with recorded and shall include sender details on the back. I can't believe it has come round so quick!
One thing I would mention is don't forget royal mail charge for postage according to size and weight so if your card is thicker than a certain size then it will need a large letter stamp. damn cheek if you ask me!0 -
Thanks for the tips ladies. I think I will send mine first class with a return address on the back.:)
Ruth - You are right that friendship should be a two way street. I also agree that you should block her and spend your time and your love on people who appreciate you. Every moment you spend thinking about, emailing and worrying over this women is a moment wasted and taken away from the people who really matter.:A
afm. I am really enjoying stitching the Xmassy stuff. Got my mojo back.:p About to run out of metallic thread tho so will have to order some more. Will try to show some restraint when putting in my order:D
