BEG - each stitcher starts a project and sends it on, so when it's all done you'll have stitched on all the projects and you'll have the one that you started to keep.

    Hi ladies,

Just caught up on all the posts, hadn't been on MSE all weekend and haven't posted for ages!

Have made a little progress on the angel and also started my niece's door sign as I realised it's only 10 days until her birthday! I am using the infamous fairy tale alphabet to stitch her name :p Luckily it's only three letters so I should be done in time :rotfl:

I'd love to do the round robin but I won't be able to commit with the wedding coming up soon :( Perhaps next year :o

I'll help in any other way I can though, and am wishing all the best to those who take part. :)

Funny you should mention recorded delivery, I'd just been reading on the ebay board that it doesn't protect against loss any more than regular first class, although it does show proof of delivery (most of the time). If you want full tracking you'd have to use special delivery or another courier.
I've been lurking on the ebay board to get some tips :rotfl: Hoping to sell some old stuff and add to the wedding pot :D

Less than 6 months to go now to the big day  I'm going to order my dress this week all being well!!! Sorry for the off topic but I'm so excited and can't exactly tell my OH about the dress hee hee.

  • Congrates skoobie. Any pics or details about the dress? I've still got mine, often wonder what to do with it as it is just sitting there.

    Thanks Maria :)

It's going to be a 50 style tea length number, this one! I fell in love with this ages ago, before we were even engaged! I'm going to have the sleeves shortened and a sash put on, eek! Am getting excited all over again, after I order it I don't know how I'll manage to wait for it to be made :rotfl:

I've already got my shoes too, here :)

I'm definitely keeping them both after the wedding, might have my dress dyed so I can wear it again :) I wouldn't worry about keeping yours at all Maria, my mum still has hers :)

Oh wow Skoobie! That dress is lovely! I love Dolly Couture, you're a lucky lady indeed! I also love your shoe choice, just beautiful :)

One of the reasons I was away for so long was that I got married! :) It actually happened, yay! :j We planned it in just 100 days, didnt mean to, we wanted sept or march, saturday, particular registry office, and it came together on sat 22nd sept 2012 (We shocked into action after 10yrs together by a cousins cancer going terminal - happily she is unexpectedly still with us)

Sorry, don't want to take over Skoobie, but just so excited for you, and can vouch for a tea length dress (I had a 1950s style dress too, lace and poofy petticoats) and choosing shoes you're happy with... Mine were 1950s shape, green leather edge with linen and embroidery! :D:j

No worries 23rdspiral, I love hearing about other people's weddings :)

Congratulations to you, so glad everything worked out for you! Your dress and shoes sound fab. I'm in touch with the people at Dolly at the moment, working out the details including what petticoats I want. Our colour is purple so that's going to feature somewhere :D

Now I really must get off MSE and go to bed hehe, up at 6

Hmm not impressed that it is Monday already and its raining outside :(

Managed a little bit more of tigger last night (one whole stitch - one odd square of orange!) but I was just so tired, I knew I would end up making mistakes so I decided simply to sit and watch tv. We watched Tower Heist on Sky Premier - ok but not as good as Bond!

I didn't sleep too well last night. My mind seemed to be wandering ???? odd!

I have decided overnight?!/this morning that my stitchy project other than the xmas bits I will be doing is going to be the Row of Cats design. I started this a couple of xmas ago and really enjoyed stitching it but it got put away as a UFO so would be nice to get it out and finish it.

As the designs are individual cats, they stitch up quite quickly :T

Love the dress and the shoes above!! and isn't it tradition that you save your wedding dress to make into a christening gown for your first born ???

Have a lovely Monday everyone :T
  • Wow skoobie that dress is beautiful and those shoes are fab
it would be cool if you could have purple petticoats

Congratulations on your wedsing 23rd hope your enjoying married life.

Morning flat Eric, sorry you didn't sleep well hope you get a better night tonight xxx

thanks caroline but no, I think I'll sit back and admire from afar.

I've still got my wedding dress in the box of weddingy things, not sure why just have. mine was full length and handmade (and probably covered in grass stains) so no re-sale value.

My friend actually had to wear wellies under hers the other weekend it was soo damp underfoot. It was long enough you couldn't tell tho.

managed another 100 ish stitches last nighthopefully do a few more this evening. don't understand my kids. they got up normal time yesterday (so 6 instead of 7). we put them to bed an hour late last night................ so they got up at 6 again.

PJ day I think. maybe popcorn and The Jungle Book later. and they can have an early night.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
