*Louise* - I agree re: smoke alarms. When it goes off - means my oven needs its quarterly clean.
JCSI - Poppy fairy is lovely.
I stitched a bit more on "christmas stocking" last night, still looks messy to me tho. And no response from Little Star Stitches on their facebook page which is unusual.
DS1 and 2 had their halloween party today. Surprisingly "take not give" 'friend' (see my diary) had far too much on to make a decision whether to come or not - so i told her not to bother, one of his school friends mum couldn't be bothered to text as much as yes or no and his other school friend was on holiday. another preferred a child free pm with her hubby then a playdate.
pretty p'ed off with it all to be honest. (sorry for the rant).loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Hi Caroline, glad you got it working, welcome back. What lovely pictures, I love that first one, so relaxed and fun
Your little boy looks adorable, I bet he gets comments on those lovely big eyes all the time xx
Ps - I love your dress, what a great colour, where did you get it?
My card is all stitched, just waiting to find a day I can sit and do some cardmaking in Novemeber (if I'm making one, I may as well make a load of them at once)
I'm also still up for a round robin - we should probably get on to planning it in order to start in JanCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. My thoughts/questions on the Round Robin
- Do we have a seperate thread for it?
- Is there one person who wants to be in charge of the plan? Heading up the thread, encouraging the exchanges etc.
- How many people is it ideal to have?
- If we have lots, do we split people into groups or do we just choose smaller designs and do more of them?
- Do we do the change over every month, very second month or longer? (I guess that depends on the size of the squares)
- What sort of size squares are we looking at?
- Do we pick our own designs and send charts or do we let people choose their own?
(For myself, I like the idea of 'squaring' the fabric, picking a theme and letting people stitch what they prefer...I want it to look like a mishmas of ideas and styles, others prefer everything to be matching.)
-Is it okay to post monthly pics that we have stitched for the othrs - I don't think I can wait a year or whatever to see mine!!:o
-Do we do the first square ourselves, to show an example of our theme, or the last one when we get it back and finish it?
- Are people going to sign with their name and location? (I hope everyone does want this tbh)
Never done one of these before so any input from those who have is appreciatedCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Back from my first saturday night out in months !! dinner and Bond !
Dinner turned into a bit of a hiccup. Tried to book Tabl$ Tabl£ yesterday but gave up when clearly no one wanted to answer the phone. Fast forward to this evening, arrived shortly after 5pm and lo and behold they are fully booked due to Halloween party. Plenty of tables empty and a bit  at why we were turned away but their loss. Ended up in Nando$ after being told 1 hour wait for frankie and Bennie$. My first visit to Nando$ and actually quite enjoyed it. Have e-mailed Tabl$ Tabl£ to comment. Its funny because as a customer you do see things differently i.e. the staff didn't seem to care whereas the service in Nando$ was excellent and I definitely will return.
Bond was good. Very good! only shame was that it was saturday night and I didn't manage any stitching but plenty of time for that [STRIKE]tomorrow[/STRIKE] :j today :rotfl:
ps have you put your clocks back?0 -
Thankyou for the welcome back ladies
And to the CrossStitcher review - this was my first time Not getting it since cancelling my subscription. I don't feel I've missed out thanks to your descriptions; nice things but not needed. But finances needed it cancelled anyway
I've done very little stitching since the aweful Emily Peacock bookmark wasted time (CS mag sent wrong count fabric, again). Though I did thankfully finally finish the sampler for my friends wedding, and framed it just in time. I'm computer less now but will try to upload a photo when I can if you're interested.
