    Evening everyone,

Finally made a good start on Blackwork Angel, and hopefully going to spend an hour or two sewing tonight whilst catching up on Strictly and Downton

Wow this has really grown quickly and looks stunning

Sorry to post again but meant to ask if anyone has used or uses a needle organiser, the ones that you keep different needles threaded with each colour of a project so that you just have to pick the needle up and start stitching. Hubby has asked if there is anything stitching related I'd like for Christmas and I've seen these but not sure if I'd use one.

Also, here's the progress on fairies and bug.

Quite funny that less than a week ago I was talking about enjoying the bug and it's vibrant colours. Now feel that the colours are merging into one and can't wait to get on to another colour other than green. How quickly views change.

Ruth - hope all went well Friday and that you are feeling ok.

Love the fairies. I'm sure you will enjoy the bug as you move on

    Hi ladies.

JCS. Nice progress on your Blackwork Angel.

PAP. Nice London progress. Is the end in sight?

    Ailsb. Nice update pics.

Thanks for the comments re fabric. I think I have found all the pieces I need via ebay and acrosstown. The ebay ones are listed as DMC fabric but acrosstown doesn't list a brand.
I know DMC threads are ok but is the fabric ok? Has anyone bought fabric from AT? was it ok?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm not used to buying fabric :o

Shelly - I used acrosstown a while (year or two) ago and they were good. Fast service etc. I don't remember any problems with the quality of the items but to be honest I don't remember what I ordered from them. I would have remembered if there were problems though.

Someone please remind me which mag it is from, I went to buy it the other day and totally forgot and ended taking a chance on the wrapped Woxs by mistake. Though I really like the free chart book, metallics guide and threads but now i'll prob have to order a back issue sometime as spent mag justifcation for the month :(

Also in case it was missed last time. Does anyone want the free morrisons exclusive margaret sherry chart that came with a mag recentlyish (i think it was csc) it's the crimble cats in bed. i think flat eric may have been interested?

Thanks ellie. I agree with you about acrosstowns excellent customer service having bought threads from them before. I don't know why I didn't think of it before but have just called acrosstown and was told their fabric is DMC.

So now I need to know if DMC fabric is as good as their thread?!? Anyone use it?

    Thanks

I've used DMC fabric and would be very happy to use it again. I'm no fabric expert but I found it smooth, even and lump free etc.

I believe it was Issue 96 of Cross stitch Gold that was out last month or the month before.

I have the pako needle threader. I have rarely used it but thats not because I'm not a fan - more because I haven't had the need - have been concentrating more on smaller projects.

I also bought the Tanto Thread Organiser with my xmas money but haven't used that either

PS parcel turned up a short while ago ! yay !
