Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

There are tins of broken Mandarian's in our Tesco in Glasgow that don't just have the Tesco Value logo still, but have the 2nd last TV edition(!!) I know they have a long date on them anyway, shows how much (or little) they sell!

    Tesco Everyday Value - Bread - 50p
Bloody brilliant for the price IMO, It's pretty much thick slice (most value bread is only medium elsewhere). Amazing value.

Tesco Value Everyday 1L orange & Apple juice from concentrate
    (chiller section) - 65p - Very good!

I've got two questions... What is the difference between the Orange juice from cocentrate in the white cartons on the shelf and the ones in the plastic 'milk bottles' in the fridge, both are 100% from concentrate.

Also what is the difference between the value & more expensive Tesco/others orange juice from concentrate and the stuff that's double the price? It's not as if more juice is in it, both cartons say '100% from concentrate'

I've been trying all the ready meals as I've been a bit skint lately, and when you can buy your evening meals for a week for £5, its definitely worth it!!

Everyday value Chicken tikka - really nice
Everyday value Chicken Korma - again, really good, lots of sauce
Everyday value sweet and sour chicken - lovely
Everyday value sausage and mash - really nice, sausage is a bit odd, but fine for 80p!
    Everyday value Lasagne - lovely
Everyday value - Spagetti bolognaise - really nice

Still a few left to try.

I buy the Everyday value garlic bread and have it with the lasagne and bolognaise, and from the fresh Indian counter, I buy the non Everyday value naan bread for 25p and have with the tikka and korma - so this all makes a good meal for about a pound!!

I realise this isn'y very healthy! But its only a short term solution to get my finiances back on track/see me through a skint month! So I wouldnt recommend you live on this food lol

Ideal for students though, and people with limited money to last until payday!

I didn't like the EV Lasagne, found it tasteless and unsubstantial, but the Healthy Living one at £1.20 is really good :)
  • Tesco Value Strawb Jam - Amazing taste for the price 29p

Also Tesco Value eggs for a box of 6 is only 49p at the mo!! (Certainly in my store in Glasgow)

As a student I have tried many value lines.

I recommend the following which I bought this week :)
    - value orange/apple juice 1L fresh - 65p
For 65p it's a great price and the taste isn't too bad IMO. Not amazing compared to the branded stuff but acceptable and refreshing.

    - value grapes - £1 / £1.25 now. Increased in price. Goes up and down a lot this one! Great grapes :) taste very good :) always buy them

    - value fish fingers 10pk - 60p Perfect for students :D cheap fish finger sandwich :) great taste.

    - value salad cream. 53p - I love it!

    - value sliced carrots 19p - great for quickly putting in a bolognese :)

    - value chocolate digestives - Great! :) 44p.

    - value milk chocolate digestive bars 18pk £1.09. - great for pack lunches and a decent price for 18 small bars :) taste acceptable :)

    - value crisps 12pk 68p - great price. Great taste. Addictive! And they don't break the bank compared to branded packets of walkers so I don't feel too guilty munching on them (or a couple :p )

    - value chill con carne - 57p brilliant! I always buy this. Had it tonight for tea :)

    - value pasta sauce 44p taste decent. Not amazing compare to dolmio. But it's a unique taste and I like it for a quick pasta dish with sausages (when running out of meals/ideas.

The EV lamb & mutton mince (500g, £2.50) is excellent, and perfect for shepherds' pie. And I don't know anywhere else that sells it.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)
