Been flying loads but to busy to check in with you all. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the break.

Definitely been one of those weeks  , the wing mirror on my car was vandalised, my rotary clothes drier snapped dumping all the washing on the ground and there's more which I won't bore you all with.

I do have the kitchen and garage of doom as foretold, but hopefully by the end of tomorrow it should be all tidied away. The spare room now has a floor which has even been vacuumed and the window cleaned. :j

Spent nice day at seaside with the family, feel refreshed and ready to get back to flying tomorrow! :T

Michelle - hope I'm not too late :)

Shirley - sorry about your rat! Always a sad time.

    *************************************

I'm still dancing to my own tune here - had a bit of a day off yesterday. Met up with some of DHs relatives from America who we had never met before, so that was nice.
Then DH spent the rest of the day dreaming about a new car - some chance of that! I knew he'd come to his senses eventually and woke this morning to him saying I'm right - we can't afford it right now - phew!

We are still in the midst of putting up garden shed. Walls are up but we still have the roof to go.
DH is cooking family BIG breakfast this morning in the hopes all boys will be up and ready to help with shed afterwards.

    As for me -
    Weekly menu
    Grocery list
Laundry x 3 or 4 loads (two done)
    Vacuum house
    Master bedroom:
    - put duvet cover back on;
    - put clothes away;
    - do ironing.
    Finances:
    - Update personal
    - Check business
    - Have words with DS1 about his
    Tidy computer desk
    Supervise shed building :)

Well DH make bacon and cheese pannini for breakfast - very nice too! House is tidy and WM is on. Got 1 lot of lights and darks to do. Doing a roast later - maybe a BBQ would have been a better idea!!

May pop out and feed the ducks later or go to the park. We got girls a bubble machine and some garden games for Easter so I expect we will be out in the garden with them later (we will wear them out today - or them us lol).

Would have liked to get some strawberry plants but dont think garden centres will be open today??

    Happy Easter everyone

Washing on the line, another lovely day here. I've made a coffee sponge and a fruit crumble and the meat is in the oven. I need to vacuum round downstairs later but today should be quieter - we've finished in the garden for now! I will need to cut the grass in a few days but it's not that long yet.

Another beautiful day here too.. so I stripped the girls beds and cot and my duvet cover so they are all blowing in the warm breeze now. I have the boys beds to do later and DD2's and they are all done then.. my wash baskets are empty.

The DW has done it's job. I have dashed through the front room.. I am actually feeling the urge to go flinging in the shed now.. before the children get back from church and want chocolate!!

I can't believe how gorgeous the weather is at the moment.. especially as it is only April and it was snowing this time last year! I do enjoy it though it makes me move!

    'Afternoon,
It's lovely here today too! I got my bedroom curtains washed, dried and re-hung by 11 this morning, sofa throws are on the line while I'm gardening.
Its taken nearly 2 hours to weed one long border and a bit of pruning/hacking. I'm being ruthless and damn those dandelions.

Just popped in to get some lunch then I'll be off to butcher another bit of the jungle.. The sunshine really does get the adrenalin going!

Have a lovely day doing what you're doing.

Coffee sponge sounds lovely Pollybear, any chance in the recipe :) I'm mean't to be baking today so looking for inspiration.

Nice weathers making me lazier, sitting in the garden on the laptop, naughty!!!

Shell as for garden centres, ones round here are closed that I know of, would ring before you go.

Got some things done this morning. DS1 started with iffy tum last night, his words 'I only pumped and it fell out' :rotfl: which fell out on the sheets I'd just got off the line so they have been soaked in disinfectant last night then washed this morning and are blowing on the line now. That'll serve me right for dumping laundry on the bed instead of putting it away straight away :o Bathrooms swished and swiped, vacuumed throughout downstairs, breakfast of Hot X buns made and eaten, dogs fed and been out, fridge been reorganised again as went shopping yesterday and just threw it in etc

Got list of jobs a mile long to do

[STRIKE]Pond - check, move plants, remove uneaten food
Garden - poop patrol, strim those weeds growing through from empty house next door, plant bulbs bought yesterday inc in new planter I got [/STRIKE]
Living room - sort paperwork, take upstairs what needs to be filed, shred unneeded (shredders out ready just motivations lost)
[STRIKE]Kitchen - clear benches, bake some 'nice' things, make bread, clear one box of junk
My bedroom (after DP wakes this evening) sort laundry that needs to be put away, tidy floor from my sorting session late last night (climbed over to get into bed[/STRIKE] :o)
[STRIKE]Boys room - laundry away, quick tidy of toys etc
PC room - sort one box of games etc most still packed from when moved rooms [/STRIKE]
Hall - sort through shoes and coats they are a right mess, very hot hotspot
[STRIKE]27 fling boogie as there is a lot needs flinging!
Dailies left - vacuum upstairs and stairs, S&S kitchen when finished in there (I am THE messiest cook) clear dining table (been dumped on again)[/STRIKE]
One day I might be more organised...........

My coffee sponge is just a basic victoria sandwich mix with added coffee (I dissolved two teaspoons of instant coffee in a little bit of hot water), then I sandwiched it together with coffee butter icing (one teasp of coffee this time in a little hot water). Haven't tried it yet but I've made it in the past and it's usually nice.

Nearly all the washing is dry now, just a pair of jeans finishing off. I haven't vacuumed yet but by the time the dog cleaned the floor for me it doesn't look too bad at all!

Oh yum, I am a coffee addict and also have some walnuts which I might add to it and do a coffee and walnut one like I used to buy in the bakers, just cheaper :) Never tried making anything but plainish ones before and I'm getting bored, so will have a go.

My dogs are 4 legged vacuum cleaners aswell, apart from the dog hair. Saying that with very light wood floors I can see the hair more and vacuum about 4 times a day, must be mad. I just have a major issue with dog hair.

I've not done much apart from the garden bits, have started on the paperwork then found a stash DP must have been hiding. I may be on a while with that lot.
