HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE:D
Afternoon all!!
Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine, Am at work until 4pm today but day off tomorrow, then 10-3 on Monday and next weekend is my weekend off - YEAH!!
I got my static duster thing and was only £2.97 (sure they were over £10 in the betterware catalouge). I also bought an apron (hangs head in shame) only reason being when I am cooking I am fed up of splashing stuff on my tops and it not coming off.
DH seems to have embraced the "flying" principle and I went home to a very tidy house (he had even done the lunch dishes and the sink was shiny:j ). Things have definately been much easier the last week since he has come on board with it.
Not much flying done whilst stuck here but will do my meal plan up for next week, if I can remember what I have in the cupboards.0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Well, ive done the washing and hung it out, made a lovley roast dinner, and all the dishes are ready to go in the DW, but thats it - so need to get myself moving and do some cleaning - but at the moment, i cant be bothered!!! maybe feel better after ive finished my glass of wine, and have watched a dvd with DD (DS out on his scooter, prob up the park!!!).
I WILL get it done today tho!!!!
Michelle - glad you are having a lovely day, hope you have a lovely evening as well!!!
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Happy b'day Michelle!!
pigpen what a brilliant idea, hanging strawberries. Not being near any garden centres I have never seen them but that is a great way to keep my hens off them. Garden is beginning to look like a prison with high fences to keep hens and rabbits of my plants and veggies. I also have lots of old baskets I could use.
I have for the first time in three years (before I became ill) a house that is not stressing me. I can walk around and not get worked up about what needs to be done. Having the boys around for the first week has meant that things have been 'bottomed' and they don't feel like they have been doing house work all week. So huge thanks for the daily list and the support.
There youngest two have a carpet that can be seen! And they are now, not allowed out until room is tidy each day. I think they are quite proud of it, DS3 took his friend in there this morning and that has not happened for years. Thank you, thank you!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Just loads more attention seems to work. It is a shame when the die, but they do only last on average 1.5years. (mind you one of ours lasted for 3!!)
The one that is left is the more sociable one. I think she'll appreciate not being licked etc by the other one though. If she does get lonely then I'll try and get the BF to let me rehome a couple from the RSPCA shelter.
In order to take my mind off it I've been uber busy and have got lots done so far today.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
shirley park sorry to hear about your rat. It's not nice losing any pet.
I've been pottering. I have managed to wash my landing curtains (1st time since we moved in nearly 3 years ago  )They are the curtains the lady who lived here before left us, and not that pleasant, and as i took them down, i realised the curtain pole was broken and only in place because it is tied up with a bit of string, so that can be added to DH's list.
We also did the food shop - went to Morrisons as i wanted to pick some more of their pampers nappies up while they are on offer. I also found they had 'flushed away' on DVD for £9.99 (over £3 cheaper than i've seen elsewhere) and as the 6yo nephew asked me if i could get him that for his birthday, that is one thing less that i have to find later.I like it when things unexpectedly happen like that.
Don't know how, but a chocolate caterpillar cake fell into my shopping trolley too! Charlie was eyeing it up.
Otherwise, i don't think we will be up to much.
Will need to put the curtain back together, and go to my parents house tonight to see them, get my birthday cards, and take the kids their easter eggs. We've said we will have takeaway, but have decided on fish and chips as a fairly cheap option as i have already spent a fair wedge today.
Still a gorgeous day, and Charlie is now a lot happier and sat playing in his chair. I think it's going to be a fab weekend, and as long as i am with DH, i am happy.
Michelle, x0 -
Happy birthday Michelle
Shirley, sorry about your rat. One of my son's rats died earlier this year. The other one was a bit glum for a few days but he paid her extra attention and she seems OK now.
Stripped my bed today and got that dry, together with another load of washing.
Creosoted four fence panels this morning (and my hands still stink). We put the new garden bench together too.0 -
Sorry to hear about your pet Shirley, I used to keep them aswell, had 2 that lasted almost 3 years. I think it is right that when there is only one the become mch more sociable. My first just passed away in his sleep, the second developed a massive tumour and had to be put out of his misery. They make great pets for kids, even now if I'm in a pet store and someone says 'Eww rats' I will always stick up for them as they are much better pets than hamsters, especially for kids as they don't bite unless hurt.
Caterpillar cakes are my sons fave Michelle, hope you like itand Charlie of course.
Well kids couldn't stay quiet enough so took them out. Stupidly shopping, but I coped, well sort of. Both boys now have new school shoes and trainers. DS1 new school trousers, still need DS2s none his size. Also need more shorts for DS2. Did some food shopping but after the 4th shop got sick and came home. Will get the rest when I am on my own!
As for housework, not done much more and the back of my legs really hurting thanks to walks and gardening I think I have pulled something so unsure how much I'll get done tonight but will try. As for DP, it's toothache. He's gone to work with a pocket full of pain relief.
Right time to make the kids teas, maybe back later. One day I might be more organised...........

hi all - hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine - we have had lovely forest walk and picnic today and then girls played in paddling pool!! so not much done.
But picnic things already unpacked, dishwasher and washing on and last lot of sofa covers on line before i start on the second set - to go away in storage as i didn't wash them the last time i swapped - wishing i had now
but i am going to spend 15 mins to half hour in each of downstairs rooms now to get them sorted as i so enjoy having tidy house when i go to bed and not coming down to mess in morning!! i might have time tonight to do some paperwork then without feeling so tired - i must get my snowball thing updated and money spreadsheets
hope everyone ok, enjoy the rest of the weekend - half term only started on thursday here so dd1 off preschool and dh off work for next 2 weeks - i hopefully will catch up on some bits and bobs as well as enjoying few days out and trips to beach - if sunny weather continues0 -

ShirleyPark, so sorry to hear about your pet rat, I hope you are ok.
DS woke me with a start this morning at 6.30 by calling out 'MUM', how can such a short word be made so long when they want something! Feeling really tired now but there is a bundle of stuff to do.
Went to a jumble sale this morning in aid of the Blue Cross and bought a lovely new wooden garden table for £4 so we sat and had lunch round that instead of taking our picnic to the park, though we did go to the park afterwards. Then a visit to my mum's, home for the egg hunt, a visit from my dad and now we've just eaten tea which DS and DH both pronounced delicious and they want again soon.
The kitchen, utility and bathroom floors are such a mess from us walking in and out from the garden these past couple of days I MUST hoover them and I WILL catch up with my ironing tonight....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
