I am really sorry to say that your name has summed up your situation perfectly. Please let us know if you manage to get any of your money back.

I suspect you will be waiting for some time yet...
  • These people are still at it !
Deliberately concealing the fact that, despite the name, they are not lenders and can guarantee nothing !
There are dozens of companies like this, fleecing people for charges and premium-rate phone calls.
Where on earth is the Industry Regulator ?????

Just fallen victim to this appalling 'company', can I even use that word to describe them? I would like to start by saying that yes on their website it does state that they are a broker etc etc, but what people aren't realising is that noone is stupid enough to sign up using their 'formal' web site. Most people who signed up were re-directed to a page from another lender/broker which looked nothing like their page, which had little information on membership fees or them being a broker.

Any way their registered ltd number is 06907433, you can find all the information you need on a web search.

The correspondence letters they send out have an address in sussex, which I imagine is an empty office full of letters of complaint. Their actual trading office is in Stockport however they don't operate from there.

I'm fairly sure this is the address they operate from:

    Paragon House Seymour Grove
    Manchester
    United Kingdom
    M16 0LN

Information for the company taken from their annual return form dated 15/05/2013:

    Single alternative inspection location (SAIL)

    Jessop House Jessop Avenue
    Cheltenham
    Glos
    United Kingdom
    GL50 3WG

From reading a few posts on here I need to send a letter recorded delivery, putting the cancellation in writing. Is this address below correct ?

Why not send a letter to address in the t&c's.
  • Because there so called transparency of a website seems like a complete con to be honest, so I wouldn't believe them if they told me it was raining outside. I believe they play hard ball when you want to cancel/get money refunded etc..

Send a letter to both to be on the safe side. The cost of two recorded delivery letters is still a lot less then the fee they may take from your bank account.

Not 30 mins ago I signed up with this lot giving my card retails thinking the fee was for the total loan of £500 for 2 months.

What I was presented with, on clicking the acceptance button was a series of companies offering loans at near Wonga interest rates.

I immediatly e-mailed Loans Direct with the heading Coolin Off Period, and told them to cancel immediately.

As I hit the enter button to send my mobile went off and I discovered £69.75 had been taken from my account by them.

It is now 07:15 and there is not a lot I can do about it at the moment.
