If there was some useful input to add I'm sure it would be added. Sometimes though there just isn't anything more to be added but the post quickly moves down the pages.

Look at the volume of the comment and statements made in it by James from the top of this page? Do you agree with everything written there? No comments of any nature? Everything clear not a one question to be asked? Not even a comment to 'mess him up' and make him defend his stance in order to bring some useful arguments to support his view?

I appreciate that you bump because you to some extent and in a specific way care about this post but what I'm trying to say is that your treatment kills it as well and causes disturbance for poor subscribers who every-time get the notification just run here for new useful info only to get really disappointed by another bump.

I'm just trying to sort out my Self-Select ISA for this year and really stuck between best fund supermarket vs best S&S providers which actually goes down to the stance in the debate of active vs passive investment and lack of platforms for specific exposure to prospering sectors at the end of the world which investment funds can readily provide v seeking more dynamic opportunities from what LSE can currently offer.

Regarding the rank in the list: I'd rather have small amount of 'geeks' participating in this post with professional, useful and informative posts rather than whole pack of amateurs vacuumed here from the main forum site not knowing what them are actually talking about. -But just my personal opinion obviously.

    Yes

None needed - it's been said.

    So where are your comments?

If it bothers you that much then unsubscribe and check it manually - you say it was easy to find.

There is only so much debating that can go on between those "geeks" - they know what they are talking about and most of them agree so it's all been said. It's the "amateurs" that prolong the debate by asking questions.

I appreciate that you are frustrated when a good source of information appears to dry up. However for all the newcomers it's a brilliant source of info and should not be lost amongst all the pages.

Have you requested it be made into a sticky?

I think that we've reached the point where I really understand and appreciate your points and you hopefully understand mine... Don't really want to prolong it any further (as this makes this good post even more bulky  but from your side added couple of 'bumps' :p) so think that we need to agree to disagree and carry on whatever is to carry...

I also need to appreciate your guys Veteran position on that forum and mine's as a newcomer who needs to bear and accept bumping practices going on in this post...

Cheers for a little argument, it's always a pleasure ;)

Asked about this last night by someone who does know how to use the search facility but still could not find it as it's now so well buried.

    So once again, "bump".

Thanks Jem. But despite I do know how to 'Search' .... could we just keep it between the two of us (and anyone contributing to an RSS feed!) that I was searching the wrong Forums :o And going back months!

I did remember it was 'Funds' ..... but missed the fact it was within ISAs? And - after all - who posts ISA material in the ISA forum - they're all under Savings!
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

When you have picked your funds/shares for the ISA, how often do people keep an eye on their value. Do you check at the end of every week? I bought into some emerging markets and im not sure I want to see the volatility each day! Having said that, for the first week I did use the bloomberg tools, constantly checking the bollinger bands and other indicators. For now, other things take priority - such as do I buy that Nintendo Wii !

I havent used up my allocation of ISA yet, in fact I dont know if I'll put any more into S&S or if the cash part is the best choice right now. I'll review the situation in summer. Just one last thing - I noticed the period between Last October and this March has been volatile on many fund charts, but have picked up from mid march - is this a sign of recovery or is it just pot luck?
