Pumpkin, marrow, courgette, squash. They have big seeds, germinate well, and if you keep them watered and fed will produce big fruit in the autumn.
Salads are easy, too - lettuce, spring onion, radish, carrot.
Take a look in a seed catalogue - they'll tell you when seeds need to be planted.
I like Mr Fothergill - click here.

Ive had a thought about the carrots and little gems that i planted about a month ago - could i have planted them too deep? If i have, will they sprout at some point, or will i have lost them? Dont want to dig over where they are and plant something else if there is still a chance the other bits might be growing!!!
Hi, Cat! They should have been up within a couple of weeks, the weather we've had. Depends on how much space you have, but I'd be tempted to try again.

Put the picture on your pc and then go to http://imageshack.us/ click upload.
You will then get a link you can either copy the forum one or the bottom one and link here but insert [ ] instead of < >0 -

Additionally, please, please, please, before uploading your photos to the thread, resize them to a maximum of 640 x 480 (messsage board size) so that the thread is kept to a width that is easily readable.
