    How's your veg spaghetti doing?

How much space are you going to give to veg spaghetti? I have heard they will take loads of space.

I planted 'one seed' in March but so far it has not sprouted. Think I need to sow some more.

hi, malamala, my seedings' leaves are about 2 inches long now. THey are going to get huge and I don't know what I'm going to do with them! When my early spuds are done I'll put 2 of them in that space but as for the rest I just don't know. I've got a pretty small garden.
I got my seeds from a seedsharer and they looked like fresh seeds so I soaked them for a day and then planted them and they were up in a week. I reckon it's not too late to start again if you think yours is dead. If you live anywhere near Glasgow you can have some of mine!

Love the pics  (deleted them here, to save space, only ;) ). Your basil looks especially fine!

Sweetcorn needs to be about 18" apart, so a square of 9 will need a 3 foot / 1 metre square.

I don't have any Basil  lol

    Tesco points this 1/4 = 6523

Well done, LilMM - what an achievement in such a short time.

I have a tree stump just like yours - it will cost too much to shift and, just like you, I intended to make some sort of a feature of it. Growing alpine plants in was quite successful but it still got in the way and didn't look much of a feature. Do you know what I did?

I hacked the middle out and inserted my whirlygig washing line.

    It's great!

    Kay

I love this idea, i may just have to do that!

OMG i just got a quote to turf the top end of the garden £100 with fitting. He is a reputable guy, comes highly recommended. i have been pricing turf with out fitting and it cost this much, we are finally gonna have grass, after 5 years. My son has never lived in a house with a lawn to play on. I cant wait.

P.S. Kay Peel, have you any picks of your tree stump feature.

My bother says i should make a table out of it. Put a top on, but i am not sure.

Lilmrsmullen - love the pics - you've done a great job!

Came back from MIL's with my boot laden with plants - primroses, alpine strawberries, aquilegia, poppy, veronica, etc, etc. Will be planting them today.

Ive had a thought about the carrots and little gems that i planted about a month ago - could i have planted them too deep? If i have, will they sprout at some point, or will i have lost them? Dont want to dig over where they are and plant something else if there is still a chance the other bits might be growing!!!

lilmrs, not too late for many things: toms, courgettes, cucumbers, alpine strawberries, salad things like lettuce, radish and spring onions - you can sow them every month for a constant supply. Lots of herbs can go in and mange tout peas now and french beans next month even cabbages for winter.

I keep thinking of more! I reckon it's worth giving anything a go for a laugh
