It is not that I do not value lynzpower's offer but after 2 years of screaming out for help I know there is no more help I can get.
It is either I cope or go under and end up in hospital and end up with no degree and wasted three years of life.:beer:0 -
Wouldn't it help if you told your parents what a state you're in - there's no benefit in bottling it up.0

At my univeristy there is a student services department that runs a study skills service. People can book 1-1 appointments and get help on their assignments.
I thought ALL universities offered such help...your's must do0 -

What you have to understand is one of my parents has serious depression and I am all they have to keep them alive, so telling them all this and tipping them over the edge so that they would end up in hospital will do me no good because I would have all my uni problems and then all that on top to deal with too.:beer:0 -
If you are feeling so low that you feel you may be headed for a nervous breakdown, then you could try calling the Samaritans. Your parents do not have to be aware of it.0

If you think you will end up in hospital from the anxiety then for gods sake take control, print off what youve got and hand it in as it is
there is no point in making yourslef ill
if you believe you are heading for a nervous breakdown, then I suggest you phone your local councils mental health support team and tell them it is an emergecny and you need to be assessed. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I am no mental nutter you know.
It just is rather hard to be alone with a couple of parents who hate each other and fall out all the time.
That means one of them has bad depression and says I am all that keeps them going.
Then I have all this uni rubbish on top.
I am not a nutter, I do have a limit to my mental strength sometimes.
Normally without all this uni stress I can function and cope well but over this last couple of years all this uni stuff has really worn me down.:beer:0 -
I really do not think people understand how hard it is to live in a family that does not get on and from being about 11 years old I have had keep the peace to stop my home and parents from falling apart. And yet all at the same time you have to stay publically happy and just seem like a normal family.:beer:0

GET ON WITH IT!
You almost got to the point of going to write something, a dozen posts or so ago. You will feel much better if you do this rather than explaining to us all how awful you feel.
I am a senior mental health professional, so don't even THINK of acccusing me of belonging to the 'pull yourself together' brigade.
Can I suggest to everyone who is posting that we are now colluding with Phil in helping him to avoid getting down to it. It would be great if no-one posted until we watch his green light go out, and await his notification that he's done 500 words, or list of paragraph/subject headings.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0
