  • just like to tell you about my late brother after telling his girlfriend off for using to much, which she denied saying she had only used three squares he asked what had happened to 4 5 6 7 8 he had only numbered the pieces we laughed for weeks after we heard
  • I have enjoyed reading this thread! I wish I could be so self controlled with the amount of loo roll I use. I think a lot of MSE-ers would be shocked at the amount I get through (cough, 20 rolls plus a week, cough) but this thread has inspired me to get cutting that down! Way down! :rotfl:
    :hello::wave::hello::wave:
  • gives new meaning to how to slash prices...
i had a housemate when i was a student who refused to buy anymore communal toilet roll as we were using too much, so we ended up having to take our own toilet rolls instead. talk about taking the pee....

  • I think I'm going to print off this really long thread and put it by the side of the toilet for reading material...then when I read a page or two of replies I can use them to wipe...
  • I buy my toilet rolls from farmfoods....18 rolls for £4 and decent quality as well.

Always go before I leave work and if I have a wee then I I only use 2 sqaures.

Nicky Toilet rolls I but them too they are fab, can also get in Home Bargains too - great when you have kids - last time I was in woman bought as she saw me buying them and only buys Triple Velvet - saw again she came up to thank me as she was well impressed and wont be going back to Triple Velvet with the money she saves :money:

There used to be a website where you could input your salary and then start a timer as you went to the loo. Stop the timer when you come back and it tells you how much you just got paid to drop the kids off at the pool.

    5t.

It is an American site (so in dollars) but it's here! Enjoy ;)

Edit: felixthemoggy got there first :(

Use paper and then a wet wipe. You'll find you're cleaner too!:embarasse:embarasse

Eh? Wet wipes are way more expensive than toilet paper! They are also not meant to go down the toilet either as they don't break down which can lead to blockages.

Seriously, there's economising, and there's being a miser.

I personally buy Triple Velvet, if you must know, because it's nice AND cheap (£1.99 for 6 rolls at my local chemist's) and I think it really is a case of "you get what you pay for". The really cheap stuff is a false economy.

However, I once lived with a guy who told me I used too much TP.
Not only did the fact I was paying for it escaped his mind, but really...out of all the things you can pick a fight about...Toilet paper?

I applaud clever money-saving, being savvy, getting the best deal..etc. But there's being savvy and there's being a miser. I'd rather drive a hot poker between my eyes than become the kind of person who's mean about toilet paper. Seriously.

The point is, waste is waste. It's one of those consumables where excess use is so easily avoided. Perhaps this site just isn't for you.
  • Seriously - there are 14 pages of this c**p!
