Spill the beans... on how to minimise loo paper use

The stuff has to be strong enough so your finger doesn't go through it, but soluble so that it doesn't block your drain. Never put facial tissue or kitchen towel down your loo.
There are two types of users; those that scrunch it up into a ball, and those that fold it into flat sheets. The former tend to use more paper.
think these are also the ones that are more likely to leave behind the last ball as it dosnt flush away!0 -
Get into a habit of using a jug with water (unless you have one of those hose type things) in addition to loo roll.0

I remember my Mum compaining bitterly about the quantity of bog roll that us two boys would consume. So when our two lads where toilet trained we had them memorise this rhymme;
" When you Pooh- Three, Two, Two".
That is 3 sheets to start, second and third only 2.
Now if only I could find a rhyme for "'go back, flush, wash hand and switch the light off!!!""Is it that the future is so uncertain, the present so traumatic that we find the past so secure? " Spike Milligan0 -
I got in touch with my inner self yesterday.
That's the last time I buy TESCO Value Range toilet paper.0 -
We actually buy LIDL "Floralys" - the good quality, pink design printed one.
The saying "three sheets to the wind" comes to mind (repeated at least three times)!0 -
Ok...maybe I'm being a bit dense..,but all the people referring to using a finger....they are joking, right?0

I used to buy Tesco own brand and stock up when it was on offer. Perhaps I was being a little aggressive with my wiping but I was finding little bits of loo roll 'down there' the next time I went. Swapped to Andrex and no more bits!
The own brand also seemed to leave mountains of papery dust on the loo roll holder. I'm far from being fanatical about cleaning, I'd just rather not have to clean the holder as well as myself every time!Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
I use washable/cloth nappies & washable wipes on my baby and washable sanitary towels on myself ...... had not thought about using washable wipes on myself, am tempted to consider it
Also, i think the throw-away culture has become very 'normal', i.e. kitchen towel to clean up spills. Which is presumable why some people think washable nappies etc are 'disgusting', however I'd rather use a clean cotton nappy/wipe on my baby's skin than a chemical loaded, non-biodegradable disposable!=====================================

Morrisons own brand baby wipes are brilliant, only 47p a pack. Don't flush them, though.0
