I do the same thing with my two. Get them one thing in 2 sizes from next and then Ebay for the rest. Also my mum buys them shoes from Clarks so I take a note of the size pick a few extra pairs on Ebay so they have nursery/wellies/slippers etc so much cheaper than buying all in Clarks itself

Great minds think alike, Hidden!

It seems my paranoia about contactless technology was never wholly unfounded. Have just read up on how open it is to fraud. B****h Barclays. I asked them to cancel mine two years ago, but they lied, said they had, now I have to hand in my card and be without a debit card for a week while my new one arrives.
Screw that, I'll work out somehow how to disable that chip, it's in there somewhere, all I need to do is work out where then destroy it.
Can't wait to pay off my overdraft for more than just th financial reason...
B****y Barclays
And all who sail in her

Turns out it's trickier than I thought to cut an RDIF chip out of a credit card
On the downside, I still have no idea how to get the chip out of my debit card without wrecking it (Barclays hide it under the chip and pin chip, unless I'm very much mistaken)
On the upside, I now can't use my Barclaycard in shops as it has a b****y gurt hole in it, but I can still use it in an online emergency (possible tax emergency due in January) and I can carry it around safe from fraud!

My daughter loves her new jeans
I'll take the other pair back as soon as I can
I'm now the go-to-girl for "where do I go for cheap......?" questions....
Latest is friend looking for cheapest books online.
Apparently I now have a reputation for saving cash on stuff!

Maybe I'm being stupid, but if you don't need to use the card out shopping etc can you not just leave it at home?0

That would make more sense for a normal person who wasnt as forgetful as me. Earlier this year I found a tesco credit card in an envelope marked "tesco credit card" I'd hidden from myself in the bureau. I closed the account 5 years ago

That lot nearly made me cry
I've just spent the last hour going through my bedroom for clothes that are too small that I can sell on eBay. Apart from the fact that about 90% of my wardrobe doesn't fit me anymore, (not that much of a bad thing, I was a bit underweight), the amount of clothes I own that I a) never wore b) wore once, is frightening. Doing this reminds me of how much time I spent shopping and buying expensive clothes I couldnt afford in the first place.
Right. I've had time to organise myself, I have 3 large jute bags of saleable items, 2 bin bags of unsaleable, and a bedroom full of nearly empty drawers.
On the plus side, I can now see why even with a room full to overflowing with clothes, I literally have almost nothing to wear.
I'm going to spend any money I make on renewing my wardrobe. At least in the immediate future. I'm fed up with having one pair of smart trousers and 2 pairs of jeans.
Toodles

Oh ar*e.
I meant to take out £40 for my daughter's lessons (2 weeks) and taxi money in case her back is still bad or the buses are horrendous, my finger slipped and I withdrew £100
Twit.

Scary busy day today -
I have a not-small amount of lesson prep to do for this afternoon, I'm meeting a colleague/friend for coffee to go through some stuff that could be useful for me getting this book off the ground, take daughter's jeans back Next on way through to catch bus to other side of town, I have to remember to pick up potato flour from chemist, and need to try to get a few cheap 99p listings up on eBay to take the pressure of crazy Sunday listing day. And I need to lesson prep for tomorrow too.
I'm rather glad I gave up the LSA work, that was making all of this impossible!
