Well you certainly have been very busy, good news about the balance transfer, I hope it all goes smoothly, does it mean your DD gets paid as well? I am sure you have accounted for it, but as usual I confuse myself with these things ha ha

  • Thank you Heffi, I'm really happy about the balance transfer, that interest I was paying was piddling me off a bit.
All DD will get paid, (at least, something will!), I have the money, but i wanted to split it differently, start paying back my mum, and do the whole shebang on less than £280 this month, I'm still feeling a bit weak from summer!
I'll cope though :) and nothing will default :) I've put it a request for a lower DD on the barclaycard, there's always the chance it'll hit the account in time....

    :)

  • Well one of my late eBay payers has coughed up, that leaves one outstanding, and a glut to finish over this weekend.
My boss wants to talk to me tomorrow about today's new student. Hahahahahahah!!! I think she forgot the timetable I have - 2 x 10 minute breaks and 1 x 15 minute one from 8.50am till 5pm. Good luck with that!!

I have planned at 6pm tomorrow a big heap collapse on the sofa :)

  • Tally ho', I'm off to bed.
I've booked a haircut for Tuesday, the first one in a very long time. Haircuts are something I find it very difficult to justify the expense of, and I'm trying to start considering them a necessity rather than a luxury (my hair is testament to my attitude here, it's really awful).
I've worked out that if I transfer the hairdressing money across into my Natwest account when I'm in a good mood with finances, then I don't continually try to balance the cost of the haircut against my continuing overdraft as the money has already been "spent".

    Now, the bigger question is...

Does that make me dead clever for outwitting myself, or two sandwiches short of a picnic for allowing myself to be hoodwinked so easily?

    The jury is still out...

    :P

Having worked my bottom off all day, I'm on the bus on the way home with a wok bar meal (forgot to get anything out of freezer, very bad) and a cuddly toy for my daughter who has not only been holed up all day with a stinking cold but missed her oboe lesson as she was too sick. Poundstretcher, you are lovely, you are!
    £3.99 for a bright pink elephant cuddle/pillow.
    Altogether now, awwwwwwww
    :)
P.S. secondary reason for not cooking: I think I'm getting daughter's cold, have been battling foul impending head all day. Codeine is my friend.
I doubt I'll be home long before the smart trousers hit the washing basket and I'm firmly ensconced in my slouchy trackies for the night.
Utter slob, me, if I don't think anybody's looking....

Ooh I do hope you are not coming down with anything nasty. How is DD now, did she enjoy the fluffy animal.

I had to nip to the shop for gaviscon, I have had terrible heartburn all afternoon and made myself feel sick with it, but it is easing off a bit now. I think it was a rock bun I had made earlier, that will teach me to eat properly ha ha

  • Thank you, and yes she loved it! Some kids never really grow up, do they? :p

You poor thing, heartburn is horrid. I hope the gaviscon did the trick :D
I like the sound of rock buns though, yum :)

They were lovely and I had more than one, so there goes the diet plan for today, but I don't care :) the heartburn is settling down again, it is awful and I should not complain as I don't get it often, but it is horrible while it is here.

Gaviscon £5.55 a bottle OMG what a shock that was.
