I have not read the whole thread (thank goodness) but may I suggest you contact the chief executives office? I had a problem regarding a delivery and eventually gave up on promised call backs and called them only to have the matter dealt with immediately! I too have been on the other end of fellow posters views (nasty) after asking advice about a complaint! NEVER again! People are so quick to judge when they do not even know the whole story (like to just make it up) and become very judgemental! I will no doubt be shot down but it really gets my back up seeing people being treated this way for no good reason.

wow its amazing, they are still at it ...
but thankyou for your sound advice. And I sincerley hope you are not on the receiving end ...
bizarre, seriously bizarre ! even my 'daughter' is now on the receiving end ...

Some really good bargains on their website meantime...speakers, cables etc. Go to:

and scroll down to the 'what other people are viewing' and you'll see other reduced items. Many are down to a quarter or even less of the original price.:j

and for anybody who works in customer services ..dealing with customer complaints, queries, sad people, upset people, happy people, mad people, ignorant people ....
    may I suggest ....
you either put up or look for a new job...
    Just a thought !!!![/QUOTE]

I work in Customer services dealing with the type of people Angie has just described all day long and have done so for the last 10 years. I've read the thread from start to finish and just have 2 words to say to her comment above and they are the words "how rude" if this is how she deals with people then I'm not a bit surprised that she does not receive a very good standard of customer service. Most customer service advisors like myself are always more than happy to go the extra mile to help the customers we deal with but of course it depends on the attitude of the customer themself in the first place and whether or not they are actually willing to allow you to help them and resolve their problem!!!! Not all customers are willing to do this of course and so you can try your very best to help them but still not resolve the query to their satisfaction. Sometimes as a customer service advisor for a very large company you just cannot win no matter what you do!!! I wasn't intending to comment on this but to be truthful I actually find the comment above to be really, really offensive regardless of the experience she has had with Marks and Spencer and I'm not unsympathetic to her original complaint that she didn't receive the television in time. Its bad luck that it didn't arrive in time but M&S have at least apologised and tried to rectify the problem for her and provide compensation, they didn't have to but have done so anyway which is a good thing in my opinion. I don't think she can realistically ask for or expect anything more than that and perhaps she ought to stop and think about all the times she has received good customer service from companies rather than one bad experience with M&S.
loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!
  • I do not envy your job. I know it can be very hard to satisfy all customers. There is more to life. If we have our health and strength count ourselves lucky. Forget about work and have a good weekend.
  • Lol Jacqui,1949,I agree and I would forget about work and have a good weekend unfortunately though as a Customer Service Advisor I have to work tomorrow 8:30am through to 4:30pm!!!!!

thank you...this was the point i was trying to make and instead was accused of 'cyber bullying' along with others that were merely trying to put the whole situation into perspective!!!
