While I agree with virtually all your sentiments I'd just like to point out that there is no aquatic life that I know of that has 'flippers' and lives in a pond :D.

LOL I thought it was pretty good for off the cuff ;)

  • WOW! Obviously you all think your jokes are funny but whether you agree with Angie's comments or not there is no need to be so nasty.

She has already pointed out that she does not have the money to pay for another present. That doesn't make her hysterical that makes her a concerned mother.

Did your mothers never teach you that if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all?

You have no idea of this ladies circumstances and the fact she has felt the need to justify herself by telling you is appalling.

I did not realise that one was not allowed to speak ones mind nowadays on here without getting bullied for it. You are all very narrow minded and may be you should stop and think about how you are making this lady feel, as if she doesn't feel bad enough!

    thankyou,
i find it quite shocking actually ...

and like i said, sad that people who utilise this website can abuse it in such a manner.

from complaining about service /item not received currently no delivery date despite the fact that it has been paid for in full,
I have been called hysterical, I need the samaritans, accused of being rude to customer services??????? (really? and how one can make such a damning statement is beyond me), needing/ not needing a spade and so on and so forth..
oh yes ... and how would i cope in a real crisis.........? i beg your pardon?
    shocking truly shocking.

and we educate our children regarding the dangers of cyber bullying.... ???????

I trust that this will bring an end to this nastiness

  • I have not read the whole thread (thank goodness) but may I suggest you contact the chief executives office? I had a problem regarding a delivery and eventually gave up on promised call backs and called them only to have the matter dealt with immediately! I too have been on the other end of fellow posters views (nasty) after asking advice about a complaint! NEVER again! People are so quick to judge when they do not even know the whole story (like to just make it up) and become very judgemental! I will no doubt be shot down but it really gets my back up seeing people being treated this way for no good reason.

Cyber-bullying my bottom - get a grip woman and stop attention seeking for goodness sake.
  • Many years ago I worked at a famous catalogue companies call centre. Customers would order bikes and toys on the 23rd of December then call on the 24th to find out why they hadn't been delivered in time for Christmas. The customers would then put their sobbing 8 year old on the phone so I could explain to their child why they weren't getting a bike for Christmas!!!!

Maybe Angie should put her sobbing eighteen year old on the phone instead .

Really I don't think anyone doesn't have sympathy for the missed delivery date -just no sympathy for the tantrums and insults Angie is displaying. These things happen -and I doubt any eighteen year old would suffer too greatly to it arriving later -it's not like a child's birthday present. Most would be grateful not tantrum because it was late ....

As for the M&S staff -I'm sure they do what every other call centre does with ranting customers. There's a saying "You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" something that escapes some people who won't/can't/don't realize that most customer service people (yes we are people too) will go that extra mile far more readily for a customer who is likeable rather than obnoxious.

Please can someone tell these people that this website is not Facebook and it is not here for people to exchange insults. Grow up !!!!! this is not the place. Go and find somewhere else to have your catfights.
