    When I eventually set mine up and took the tape off around the casing, there was a nasty crack in it :( I phoned them up and they said to take it back to the shop, but couldn't get a replacement. Got put through to technical support at first and he said that surround sound should only be used with external speakers in place as apparently it could damage the internal speakers. Not sure how true that is myself.

    I find it highly unlikely, that changing the surround setting would damage the speakers, as there ar no surround speakers with the TV. It's just a setting to change the sound effect.
  • I bought the 3D 32 inch online 13 September Email clearly states delivery 20th September
    I wait in all day, get a phone call at 4.45pm from carrier ... first delivery date 5th October.................WHAT............
    Great daughters birthday 29th ??? Customer services tell me its my own fault cause I havent been here to pick up the phone...i suggest using email....to be informed they would of emailed me after today!
    Couldnt speak to a manager as he would not be able to change anything......
    Well Marks and Spencer... what great service!
    One disappointed daughter awaits me and furthermore I dont have a choice but to wait.
    I took the email as it read. Delivery 20th september!:mad::(

  • The page is still showing so does that mean they'll be back in stock at some point? (Other M&S offer pages seem to disappear quite quickly once they're done)
  • Ordered this at the bargain price of £160 about 2 weeks ago. They stated delivery would be 19th September - I then received about 6 e-mails saying delivery would be delayed then it did actually turn up on 19th September! They're TV's are a bargain and with a 5 year warranty too :-)

    Today I receive an email...
    they are having trouble with stock and hope to deliver by 1st October???
    this is despite the original email stating delivery 20th September followed by the waste of time phone call with customer services stating delivery is now 5th October??????????????

    One day wasted waiting for delivery and now even more at a loss as to when to arrange to be here to receive my paid for on the 13th September TV.

    Did they actually take the money from your account?

    I had delayed ordered but they never took the money for it. I cancelled in the end as I ordered the white one when it cam back in stock x

    I waited in for three days, didn't turn up on the first day, I was tracking it all day then at one in the afternoon, was taken back to depot. Rang m&s up, they guaranteed it would be next day, but couldn't give me a time, stayed in all day, rang then at 5 that evening, was told the courier couldn't make it! And would be delivered next day, day three waited in again all day, turned up about 4 that evening. Appalling customer service from marks and spencer. If I had to take time off work I can legally claim from them, but as I work from home, I can't! So three days of sitting indoors and not even an apology. I had to do all the chasing to find out what was happening.

    but what's worse is it is a birthday pressie for my daughter...
    Customers service couldn't have been ruder or less sympathetic.

    I am not in a position to get a refund .. as this would take several days to credit my account and I cannot utilise it .:(

    I now have to explain to my daughter on her 18th birthday as to why myself and her 2 younger sisters are wearing 3d glasses and cardboard cut outs of a tv screen as a cryptic clue .....I can only hope she sees the funny side of our bizarre attire! I am a single parent and I try hard to spread my money as far as possible but I have been a victim of appalling service from what I would consider a British institution!
    I expect better from Marks and Spencer.

    I feel cross at the service and that it will impact on my daughters birthday.
    I do not think it is unreasonable to purchase a TV from a reputable store and expect it to be delivered within a specified timespan.

    So, let it be noted ; BUYERS BEWARE!
