Hi,
Thought I should let other people on this list know:
The Salvation Army charity shop in Ipswich has been given loads of new wedding dresses by a woman who is retiring from the bridal dress business. I went to look last week and they are beautiful and currently have size 12-14 dresses for sale at half-price and less than the bridal shop was selling them for. They have a room dedicated to the dresses and have flower girl and bridesmaids dresses for sale as well. There are some beautiful dresses. They'll be getting all different sizes in; I'm looking for a 20 and was told to come back in a month.
Hope this helps someone. Take care. lisele0 -

I've found my bridesmaids dresses (Raylia, Helena) which was more expensive than I first wanted. My bridesmaids have kindly agreed to pay the excess to get their favourite dress (about £60 each).
I would, though, still like to bring the price down a little. Any ideas? The price in the bridal shop is £189. I've found them online in America, which would save us about £50 per dress including postage, but I can't figure out what the import duty would be on them. It's really tricky to figure out what I need to know from the government website!!!Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Hi,
Does anybody know where I can get some cream or white, lace up boots with chunky heels to wear with a wedding dress. I think I was imagining something victorianish????
Also a brides top hat with veil.0 -
I have been a viewer of this post for some time...and am pleased to say I can now officially contribute as I got engaged last Thursday! And I am totally apprensive about organising it all, even though I have wanted to get married for ages!!
Is this normal, to feel really bewildered even though you've known it is on the cards for a while?! We want to get married in June 2008 so I know I need to look at venues ASAP. I want a restaurant called Momma Cherri's in Brighton to do my catering...my question is which kind of place should I look at that would be OK with me bringing an outside caterer in?
Thank you. Have champagne tastes...but got a beer budget!!:beer:0 -

It won't be MSE but if you have a very particular idea in mind and cannot find them anywhere then you could try Emmy shoes http://www.emmyshoes.co.uk/ or alternatively hen shoes https://www.henshoes.co.uk . both make commissioned shoes, starting around £250 though
or else Basia Zarzycka (no decent website available, shop in Sloane Square, London) do lots of wedding shoes with historical references, although they tend more to the Georgian court shoe.Debt Oct 2005: £32,692.94
Current debt: £14,000.00
Debt free date: June 20080 -
