very similar style to my wedding dress lol

what colour are you having ? :)

Possibly the sage colour on the picture.
Definately one of the greens. I'm going to take my final bridesmaid to try it on and see if she's going to have that or another one next Saturday. She's seen the picture and thinks it's great too.

  • Becles where on earth did you find a photographer to do all that for £175? I found a photographer who would do CD only but give us all copyright with 20 portrait photos specified by us an then around 130 reportage shots. They said the price was £240 all inclusive of travel etc. I sent £50 deposit then they sent me letter saying that they are adding on £56 for their travel :(

The normal deluxe service is cheaper but only includes photographs at the ceremony. We negotiated a higher fee as the hotel we stayed in has beautiful gardens and we wanted some pictures in it. Here's some of my faves:

    I've been Money Tipped!
I have been a viewer of this post for some time...and am pleased to say I can now officially contribute as I got engaged last Thursday! And I am totally apprensive about organising it all, even though I have wanted to get married for ages!!

Is this normal, to feel really bewildered even though you've known it is on the cards for a while?! We want to get married in June 2008 so I know I need to look at venues ASAP. I want a restaurant called Momma Cherri's in Brighton to do my catering...my question is which kind of place should I look at that would be OK with me bringing an outside caterer in?

    Thank you.

    Hi. Congratulations!

Have you thought about holding the reception in a community, church or village hall or does anyone have a large garden you could have a marquee in? That way, you have to bring in outside catering. You would probably also save on alchohol as you'll need to provide your own.

BTW, is the restaurant the one that was on Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares a while back? It's good to hear they kept going.

  • Hi, apologies if I'm butting into someone elses thread - am new to posting and am bit lost! I'm hoping there maybe some good advice for me out there from you guys. We're getting married March 07 in Northumberland, with only 6 months left, I need to start getting organised!Dress, shoes and venue are sorted, but I'd really love a live band, the one I was recommended is 900quid for 2 50min sets, that seems pricey!!? Would love a recommendation for a band who will play various music, entertain, but not charge the earth. Oh and if anyone knows a decent photographer over in the NE please let me know. Thanks!

loads of B2Bs from all over so someone is bound to be able to give you a recommendation
you can also look in the hitched directory to find suppliers etc in your area

Your venue may be able to recommend a list of bands for you.
Some of them provide music for whilst they aren't playing too - you'd have to figure out for yourself if that's what you want....

    Enjoy your planning!
