mazza i know how that feels, u take one medication to combat somthing but it causes problems elsewhere.

i would be SO much better if i could take anti inflams but i cant due to hiatus hernia etc. i have just started gabapentin but i cant take the full dose cos it sends me even more doolally than i normally am lol

thanks everyone for the support i dont usually talk much about this stuff to anyone but its nice to know people understand tho i am sorry u are all suffering too

Oh i know, I am on anti inflammatory drugs, then a gastro pill to combat that. Then the cocodamol and amitryptine to combat pain. I sleep for 8-10 hours at night and still have an hour, sometimes 2 in the afternoon, and still feel exhausted. Thought the exhaustion was to do with running behind my dd who's disabled herself, but think the medication has a lot to do with it.

mazza, sorry to hear that and about your daughter as well, it certainly wont help with the tiredness

i cant take the anti inflams at all and the amitryptiline sent me doo lalley, i didnt know what day of the week it was let alone anything else. unfortunately i react badly to a lot of the meds so its a bit of a game to see what helps/hinders the most

have applied for my appeal form today they said do u want it re-assessed, i said whats the point am sick of playing this game every 2 years when its a degenerative problem.

Actually feeling pretty good right now. Got my "mum" head on as we're back to see the doc for the dd to assess her pain meds, nothing's touching her pain and even the amitryptiline isn't helping her sleep. Just can't get anything that allows her to sleep for more than an hour. Then she's battling pain every day... and doesn't have the strength to fight. Never ending battle atm. But she'll get there eventually. Going to the GP to see about referral to pain clinic for her, and hopefully a rheumatologist who knows about the condition

BTW - She's been found fit for work by ATOS too. Even though she's on crutches. Doing all she can to stay out of a wheelchair. You're not alone hon

My Doc wants to know what ATOS use as I am apparently cured as well (he wants it for the rest of his patients!)

I didn't even have a medical, I just got a letter saying I am now in the Work Related Activity Group

oooooh dragon u are cured to?? how fantastic, if only they could work there magic for real huh? its just crazy isnt it.

one wonders could u sue them or the DWP for making our stress/depression worse with all this. :think::think:

The best is if I DID have to have a medical they would have to come out to me, but obviously I am mistaken and I can hold down a job! (amazing that when I have to be helped out of bed, helped to get dressed, helped to have a bath, helped to ..... well you get the idea!)

Actually went to see a locum doctor today, who had a marvelous understanding of her condition. Pity he was just a locum. He was soooooooo understanding it was unbelievable. Makes such a difference having a doctor who understands these lesser known conditions. Pain relief upped and hopefully she'll get some relief now. Advised her on her physio too, to keep her out a wheelchair which was excellent.
