Thanks so much an explanation as to why you think this would have been more helpful than a summary judgement.0 -

Don't think an explanation is needed really.0 -

The devil is winning out here. I'm keeping the cash and waiting to see if she raises a dispute. Personally if I were in her position I'd put it down to my own stupidity. Thanks for the input on both sides people
So how many people are now scouring ebay for a coffee table of about that price to warn the buyer they need to get a claim in sharpish as they have a crooked seller?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. £10.50 is a very popular price for a coffee table, this one though is in the way of the seller who keeps walking in to it:

I think you will find that by any law and 'Ebay law' you do have to refund as they have changed their minds. It's under the distance selling acts which can be found here http://pages.ebay.co.uk/businesscentre/returnsandthelaw.html
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have to refund an item if the buyer changes their mind within 7 working days after the day on which the item was delivered.
I am shocked, most sellers would understand that it's human error, no-one is perfect. Fair enough you are annoyed your are going to have it cluttering up for for £10 odds surely you can just refund it?Blogger / Money SaverMake £2022 in 2022 Challenge - Accepted0 -
The search options (within 10 miles etc.) are flawed.
I put in 'within 10 miles' on my search and i get listings from Birkenhead, Liverpool and Runcorn...I'm in North Wales near Prestatyn!
Birkenhead, via road is over 30 miles away, but ebays search is 'as the crow flies' and thinks the river Dee doesn't exist (or i have a personal hovercraft...)
So, search by distance on ebay isn't perfect, she might be 10 miles away, but 20 via road...0 -
OP shame on you.
The search is very flawed. I have tried to search for items closeby and it tells me something 5 miles away is 1,000,000 miles.

What a coincidence. That one is also relisted due to a buyer not being able to collect. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
Surely for a collection in person, INR doesnt apply. Doesnt the table now belong to the buyer, who needs to make arrangements to collect it?illegitimi non carborundum0

So that would make the OP a thief then, seeing as they have relisted the table. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0
