8.64% of the way to completing the MFiT challenge and in the green
Having trouble sleeping this week hence the time of this post. Our big boss is up today which I guess is contributing so I hope to sleep better tonight.
I have been very lazy so far this week and not gone to the gym, will try and go today in the hope it helps me sleep.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Just bought one of Mr AJM's birthday presents, a cover for his Kindle Fire and I liked the look of it so much I bought myself one. Oh well, it will protect it so probably cost less in the long run.
From next month I am planning on using Edinburgher's theory to the land of MFW, I will put half of my money to my ISA (part of my EF) and half to the mortgage which may mean looking into other ways to make money (or save it) as we need to make a minimum OP of £100 each month to achieve our MFiT goal.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Awake again
I don't normally sleep all the way through and can usually get back to sleep ok. Wasn't doing badly, Mr AJM gave up at 3 and went in another room to read/sleep. Woke up 10 mins ago and think I will get to know the ceiling well again before the alarm goes off. It has been 3 am 3 mornings in a row now, we need to break the habit.

I have given up, have got my laptop and I am doing some work in bed.
As a very good MFW I first checked in here and looked at my bank. I have transferred £4.05 to my ISA so it is now a nice round £2,300this now means that my current account needs a TT however I need to check what else needs to go out before I take any money out.

Our current mortgage total is £172385.02, only £1110.02 away from owning 20% of our house.
I finish for my Easter holidays in a week. I am making it my project through the first week to try and sort out our spare room and work out what we need to charity shop/sell/throw away. I don't think it will take too long which is good.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Happy weekend :j
Spent £250 on work clothes yesterday (3 shirts and a 3 piece skirt suit), I tried to spend less by going to a cheaper shop but nothing fitted as well. Paid on cc and will take out of my savings to pay.
We are both working as supply music tutors for our council tomorrow for the area wind band so today is our only free day. We were going to eat at our local hotel after as their deal is very good but I might see if we can save a bit more money and put the slow cooker on before we go.
Going to try and Ald! shop for everything today. Not sure what else we are doing, might try and sort some of the spare room and get a pile of stuff to sell. Mr AJM is struggling with money at the moment so now might be the time to try and reign in our spending.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

£5.99 TT to OP account done. Will try and get that to around £50 and then send the rest to my ISA.
Need to make a decision on the 5% NW account today, we are undecided.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I have been looking at our OPs and after our larger OP this month aided by a council tax free month we are probably going to be scaling down to £100 a month. That would mean being mortgage free on the large mortgage by September 2027. I need to take at least 5 years off that so will be playing about to see what we can do, but obviously as we get pay rises and earn extra money we will be able to pay more. I think £100 for the next few month is realistic, I will be able to put some more across to my ISA and Mr AJM can get his head around his money a bit more.
We are considering using our Historic Scotland membership for a free day of entertainment today but the weather is putting us off. Will get the shopping and then see how we feel.
Got an offer through the door today, 2 sirloin steaks, 2 ribeye steaks, 1 rump steak, 4 rump medallions, 6 mini steak burgers and 4 pork sausages for £29. It seems like a good deal but I don't normally trust things that come through the door so I am looking for the catch.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I have a week until my Easter break. I want to sort out the spare room but I don't want to spend the whole of it cleaning and tidying so I am making a plan for the next week to try and get away from that.
This weekend
Ironing
Baking
Shopping for the next week
Make rolls for lunches up until Easter (for me & Mr AJM)
5 minutes in spare room each day
Monday
Freezer inventory
10 minutes tidying & sorting kitchen
5 minutes in spare room
Make Mr AJM's birthday cake
Tuesday
Fridge inventory
10 minutes tidying & sorting living room
5 minutes in spare room
Wednesday
Cupboard inventory
10 minutes tidying & sorting top of music room
5 minutes spare room
Thursday
Cleaning cupboard inventory
10 minutes in bathrooms/airing cupboard
5 minutes spare room
Friday
10 minutes tidying bedrooms
5 minutes spare room
Shopping & update inventories
I am hoping that everywhere should be tidy and that I have made good progress on the spare room to save me time the following week. I am intending to cook properly in my week off and also build up our meals in the freezer and enjoy myself.
Now off to check an email about a book I bought on Amaz@n a few years ago, apparently I can get around £9 for trading it in!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
