I'm guessing at what sort of candle party it is but if its what I think it is, the candles cost a bleeding fortunate. So much so, that you probably won't be tempted to buy any as the prices are just silly......0

Hi aj thanks for posting the malt loaf receipe I will have to give it a go. Hope the candle party was ok, i always found those so awkward as its usually at a friends house with wine and nibbles etc. so you feel obliged to buy whether you want to or not and I spend ages scanning the brochures looking for the cheapest optionMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Luckily I was not tempted this time as I didn't like anything. I am not a snob, I am quite happy with cheap candles. Anything I would normally get equates to at least 2 days interest on my large mortgage.
While there I did book with a friend to be a hostess for one of her Pampered Chef parties though. There is something I want to get my mum ready for her birthday later in the year, so I can hopefully offset that cost.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I think this week's food spends will be even larger than last week's
just below at the mo and I still need to add the cost of a meal out last night.
I am having a low point at the moment on a money front. I guess I should count myself lucky that we can live in a lovely house, go on holiday when we want and have a nice lifestyle but I am so desperate to get rid of the mortgage by the time I finish working so we can continue with this lifestyle. I am hoping next month will be better as I won't have a credit card bill to pay so all my pay will be mine so I can try and do a bit more. I think I need to get on the selling band wagon as that will help.
The girl I had started teaching has lost her job so is having a break until she gets work again and I haven't heard from the 2 in the pipeline so I can't even supplement my income at the mo.
I don't think I am leaving myself short as I keep checking my SOA so maybe we just need to rein ourselves in a bit more if being MF is more of the goal we want.
Anyway, off to price up a city break for Easter as the money is already in our holiday fund so it is kind of free.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

We have just booked a lovely 3 night break in France for Easter, we have wanted to go for a long time so we are looking forward to it. We managed to get about £50 in cashback and 400 nectar points for the priviledge. Flights have been paid from our holiday fund, we did a shuffle for the hotel too and then realised we pay when we get there so the money has been moved back. We may need to take the money out as euros so we don't get stung for fees.
Next jobs are to price up house insurance as it is up for renewal next month and start looking at summer holidays
In bad news, we are going out for dinner again so the food budget will be pushed up again.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I am a lucky girl. Last week Mr AJM bought me a lovely pair of boots as an early birthday present and tonight because he knows there are some lovely clothes I want but can't afford, has bought me those too
and best of all we were able to get cashback on them too.

Hi ajmoney - hope you don't mind, I have just subscribed to your thread (took me quite a while to work out how!). I'm really impressed with how organised you've been so far - it's like a step by step 'how to'! Will be really helpful for me just starting out.0

Wow, I thought I would come across as a confusing, rambling woman so thanks. Maybe I should read back over my own thread for some inspiration. Do you have a diary?MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
