Why does comparing insurance take so long? It looks like we will save £60 on the renewal quote, £70 on the price we paid last year and I haven't even looked at cashback yet :money:

    Congratulations!

It will definately help towards the promotion that I am struggling to get, will give me more experience for my ultimate goal at work, will consolidate what I do already and I will be able to get a qualification and more experience for what I plan to do when I finish this job in 9 and a half years. The only down side is that I will be away from Mr AJM and my home.

I have just bought out home insurance for half the cost of the renewal notice and when £co pay up will get 8% back too :money: so I have just transferred the extra that I had saved up over the year into the OP account ready for the end of the month.

I have just been looking at some facts and figures for the MFiT goal, we are aiming to pay off about £12.3k a year to get us to £100k at the end of it. However with our huge OP at the end of last month if we manage to OP £250 a month we will have paid over £15k by the end of the first year. We needed to pay a minimum of £97 a month to make out target, we are aiming to pay £250 a month but ideally would pay £500 a month if we could afford it. Especially with council tax free months coming up this could be really achievable. I wonder where we will finish up at the end of the 3 year challenge?

I have let down a bit more of my guard today...Mr AJM now knows about another of my spreadsheets (he thinks it is just a list) my food inventory. He asked why but didn't think me too weird and knows I am trying to use it for meal planning etc. Now I just need to get him on board with the meal planning :rotfl::rotfl:

I baked some scones today and they are lovely. There are some chocolate cookies that I want to try and make some soon.

It looks like we will be OPing £250 on Wednesday :j:j

January/First OP of the year made this evening of £250. If we pay this each month we will make the MFW2013 target and be well over on the MFiT one. If we can double it we will MF far earlier than planned so somewhere between the two each month will be ideal. The next two months should be taken care of by £218 of council tax.

I've been to the gym today and really enjoyed it, it's the 2nd time this week and I am still hoping to go once more. I set myself a rule at the beginning of the week. Ideally I want to go before work but that involves getting out of bed early, I normally have a bar of chocolate with my lunch but if I haven't been to the gym first thing then I don't take one. I normally have some time in the afternoon to go so if I distract myself too much then I am making myself go in the evening but that is to a local gym which costs money rather than the free one at work so I will make myself go there. Luckily my MSE ways have won so far and Monday and today I went while I was at work. Just Friday to go now and then next week I am going to try and do 4 sessions. I haven't had any chocolate on my non-exercise days either. From next week I need to try and do the same with crisps as I don't think I will get up for the gym before work ever!

I was almost tempted to ask Mr AJM if he fancied eating out but I went shopping instead which cost £8ish so a lot cheaper :D

It seems likely that my move will happen with work, I should get confirmation within a month.

Didn't do any exercise yesterday so didn't eat crisps or chocolate. I haven't been yet today so haven't eaten either. I think I need to rest my leg today so it might be tomorrow until I can have any chocolate.

Been busy with work so never got round to meal planning for February. We are eating out for dinner tonight so will look at meal planning tonight or tomorrow and go shopping over the weekend.

Paid a cheque in for £28.50 this morning so when that has cleared I will move it into my OP savings account for the end of the month. Also put in a claim for expenses at work for £32 which will probably take ages to come through.

I am hoping to make a £500 OP at the end of February but anything over £250 will be a bonus.

We paid interest of £88.51 on our smaller mortgage and £459.31 on our larger mortgage in January. We are ignoring the smaller mortgage with OPs as it is a very low interest rate. I am hoping that through the year we can OP the total of interest of the larger mortgage if possible so we are currently £209.31 down, I will need to find some inventive ways of finding this money...challenge on!
