I am hoping for a small spend day today as tomorrow will be fairly large. I have my first music lesson which will eventually cost me £5 when I get my claim back from work and I also need train travel to London and back. I have booked a theatre ticket which I have already paid for and have booked a pre-theatre dinner in a local restaurant so already know how much that will cost. I will just need to buy lunch on top of all of this so I have a rough idea of how much I will be spending. Although it will be quite large I need to remember to enjoy myself on this long journey so I am determined to do just that!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I may have been a bit over-enthusiastic at the gym, I may need to go for a gentle walk to ease my legs a bit. Quite glad I only have time for short sessions this weekend!
Meeting my sister and niece for the day on Sunday and am looking for some suggestions from the southerners that read my thread. They live near Redhill and I usually visit them going to a kids farm or something similar but we are trying to see if we can meet in the middle somewhere to save us all too much travelling. I have found a farm near Leatherhead or have suggested Brighton for the day as I can get the train but was wondering if anyone can recommend anywhere else. I am in Portsmouth so anywhere between or that doesn't require too much travelling. I have looked at the free farm days in this week's email but can't seem to find anything in that sort of area.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

We have decided to go to a farm nearer my sister and have a picnic (which she is supplying) seeing as it is meant to be a nice day. This is the upside to me living away from home as I see them more oftenMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Ed, what have you done to me? Rather than just looking at the overall value of my stocks and shares ISA I have just had a look at the value of each fund. It has got me thinking that I may need to assess/reassess what is going into each fund, I need to get an appointment with my bank...at the same I can tentatively discuss my pension options.
If I have already asked this question then I apologise, obviously Mr AJM and I have then eventual plan of mortgage neutral/free but are in different places with regard to our career age/time until retirement. I am guessing it will make sense to have a joint appointment where we tell the financial advisor our eventual plans and then the way forward for each of us can be determined? I need to make a phone call and see when they have availability.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Went out for dinner in a local pub last night with a friend for a long overdue catchup and before we knew it it was 11pm and we were ordering a cup of tea! :rotfl:I spent slightly over my day's allowance but I know I will have at least 4-5 days of minimal/under-spends next week so am hoping to be back on track by the end of the week.
I am quite excited by my music lesson today although I know the hard work/practice will start here. I had a lovely email from the teacher which put me at ease a little and did some practice which gave me a little more confidence. I am always quite tough on myself so I am hoping to find out the true situation today...and I am really looking forward to the theatre after.
I am going to struggle to keep up with my mileage to stay on track with my 500 mile challenge this weekend so heading to the gym in a bit and then walking between my lesson and the theatre to try and make it up. I will be back late tonight and up early in the morning so would rather not do an early gym session tomorrow. I may just need to carry some of the miles over to next week. I can't wait until it is over so I can go back to 30 minutes on exercise machines rather than an hour and 20 :eek:MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

That sounds sensible to me (and apologies for making you think)0 -
First lesson went well, always harder when you can play already as it is more about correcting any bad habits (I have lots) and fine tuning thins which is really hard. I have 3 things to work on for my next lesson and didn't dare book the next one as I don't know how long it will take to make any progress.

Wicked was really good although the sound wasn't right so was a bit disappointing. Now for the train journey backMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
