I want to move some money but have none to move  once I get a better idea of my spending this month it will be easier though so looking forward to the money shuffling opportunities that will bring over the coming months.

Jobs to try and do today

Ring utility company and move to their cheapest tariff which they kindly put on the latest bill for us. We could switch to another provider but I found the last move quite stressful and while I am not here to deal with meter readings it will have to wait.

Try and get a better deal with our sky package as our recent discount has just come to an end.

Tidy all my spare bits away before a weekend of local work with Mr AJM as I fly back to work on Tuesday :( the last 2 weeks have flown by!

Done, we will save £11 a month from May which can go towards the mortgage :D

Need to have a look at my individual savings pots online, think I can maybe keep our money somewhere better that will get more interest but also like the ease of it all being in one place. Where do other people keep their savings pots?

Spending diary has been kicked off with £5.63 today for car parking and lunch. The next 3 days should be NSDs for me and then the money will start drip feeding out as I am back at work.

This weekend we are working with our youth band which means:
a weekend away with Mr AJM for free (but we stay in separate dorms)
    free food all weekend
We will eventually get paid about £400

Next spending we should need to do is food shopping on Monday afternoon.

    NSD today :D

First day of camp has been ok, currently waiting for 11 teenagers to quieten down, lights out are in 15 minutes and it is too much to hope they do it without prompting!

They eventually quietened down after a stern warning!

A quick (not quick at all) trip to A & E to check out a whiplash case this morning, managed to keep my wallet in my pocket so another NSD.

I don't normally post about political stuff however I was a bit annoyed this morning. After a bold comment in the debate on Thursday about abolishing parking charges in Scottish hospitals it turns out that might have been a lie...we paid £3.30 for the privilege of parking at the hospital today. I know politicians normally evade the truth but after a statement like that it annoying to find out the truth.

Youth band course has finished and Mr AJM and I are now sitting at home trying not to fall asleep. It has been an absolutely brilliant weekend and I am looking forward to their concert in 2 weeks for them to show off what they have done.

Thursday has been my only spend day so far this month but that will all change tomorrow as I am flying back to work so back to money regularly going out of my pockets for meals. This is where I am hoping my spending diary will help.

I am contemplating advertising to teach music privately where I teach for something to do in the evenings. I have been shocked this weekend how the youngsters in our area are only taught a certain way or one set of fingerings on their musical instrument and also been enthused by the talent that young people have and I am keen for this to continue while giving people the opportunity to learn all about their instruments so they can make their own mind up what they use.

Re. the parking, that is annoying, but what do we expect from politicians?

Mrs E and I have spent a huge amount of time at the Southern General over the last 7 months and the parking situation is ridiculous. A small multi storey that is usually full and a few satellite car parks that never seem to have any room and are packed full of people parked on verges/illegally etc.

Tbh, I would be quite happy to pay £3-4 for the privilege of a space if it meant that they would invest in the required infrastructure, I appreciate that the NHS isn't exactly rolling in it these days...
