    Back for my weekly update.

I finally need to deal with sky today, I keep putting it off so I need to deal with it today.

Does anyone else sometimes get sick of money saving? I am having a bit of a downer about it today although I know it won't last too long. Everything is going well and the mortgage status is really positive I just feel we are stuck in a bit of a rut with it. Maybe once I have dealt with sky it will seem better!

Yes, mainly this week, I suppose as the mortgage isn't disappearing as fast as I would like and we have now have a broken fence which means no OP's whilst we save to fix it

I did wonder as well, that we haven't really done much this year and I'm wondering if its due to the rainy weather or the fact I don't want to spend money on doing stuff

I am a bit fed up of it too right now, need some sunshine and time off and I'll be fine but right now I seem to be spending only non-luxury stuff and grudging every penny.

I have something to look forward to...I have acquired 2 free tickets to a local horseracing day on Good Friday, they would normally have been £20 each. We have talked about taking that money each in cash and having a bit of a flutter!

I have had my initial chat with sky and have argued for a reduction of £7.50 a month. The advisor tried to tell me I wasn't eligible for the year's free broadband as we are existing customers, good job I had the screen in front of me so I quoted what it said. I would have tried more reductions with him but he was a bit disgruntled after that so I will wait for them to apply the change to my account and then ring back to work on the tv. I have a further plan for our phone/broadband costs but want to try and reduce the tv first before I start being really cheeky!

Hi all, hope everyone is ok.

EDF have finally sent our final bills through so I called this morning to ask for the credit to be sent back to us.

We went out for a meal at a posh Edinburgh restaurant last night as Mr AJM was given some vouchers for his birthday last year and we needed to use them before Wednesday. The meal was lovely and it ended up being free to us as we put £40 from Christmas money towards it too which covered the bill plus a tip. The atmosphere was lovely but I am not sure I will be a fine dining convert.

We got most of our shopping at Lid! this morning and got the final bits from Mr M, just need to see what to do with neck of lamb now!

Still no idea what we are going to do for a summer holiday this year so I off to do some searching now.

What restaurant was it, AJM? Mrs E and I always go through to Edinburgh at least twice a year and would like to expand our repertoire :)

Ps. A very belated Happy Birthday

Fantastic Italian restaurant on the royal mile Ed (at least from memory, I'm certain that's where it's located).
    Love Edinburgh so much :smileyhea

Rhubarb at Prestonfields, on the south side of Edinburgh. You need to save up to go there!

Oh Lord yes! Looked at the sample a la carte and £140 w/out wine didn't look at all out of the ordinary for 3 courses for 2 people :D
