Oh if only that were possible ha ha
I have narrowed the choice down to 5 at the moment, they are all very similar so I am looking at the different departments to see if I can work out who I would be working to.
I am a PA so there are lots of us, I need to be careful and try and choose one that maybe others will not pick and then I won't need to do a competitive slot in type interview, but saying that I also know the skill set of the other PAs and if I am brutally honest, I could knock a few of them off on my skills and qualifications straight away.
Now to put these in order of preference, which is proving a bit harder than I first thought.Been here for a long time and don't often post

Hi heffi,
How is the job situation going? When will you know anything definite.

Hi GL, and everyone else.
I have handed my paperwork in and now have to wait until I think sometime next week before I find out where I will be working, and more importantly who I will be working for...I am actually quite excited about it, although there are one or two who I would rather not PA for, it is a job and for that I am extremely grateful, so will make the most of whoever gets me
I have joined a challenge over on the DFW board called Just Say NOvember, I am aiming for 25 NSDs (No spend days) and any surplus at the end of the month will go into my holiday fund, which is now sitting at £500, so I am half way there, this has been helped by some cash back from quidco and some ebay sales, also I sold my old BlackBerry and got £40.50 for it so that went in too. I am looking for lots of ways to make extra cash for the holiday fund so that I don't use my normal money. At the moment the money is sitting in my online saver account with my bank, so if the worst was to happen I can access it easily enough, but I hope i don't have to.
Also I have told myself, if I can manage to save this much without struggling too much, then I am going to increase the OP to the mortgage next year by the same amount I am saving, it is a drop in the ocean really, but it is spurring me on to do well.
I hope every one is fine and wrapped up warm, winter is definitely here now, at least up north it is :eek:Been here for a long time and don't often post

I am quite impressed I have managed to save it to be honest with you, and the 25 NSDs will be hard, but if I can do it, then I know where the savings can come from, although at the moment the freezer and cupboards are full, so not sure what we will have next month, I wil probably end up spending loads to refill again. I have changed to Aldi and have really noticed a huge difference in the amount I am spending, I also like their shop, it is a bit muddled, but I can get the German items that I miss, as well as some really good bargains.

Hi Heffi, just read your whole diary in one go! You're doing so well-v inspirational.
I was wondering what were the products in Aldi you miss from Germany? I love Aldi and have been exploring lots of their products, but it's a bit hit and miss as some of them are great and some are dreadful!Starting Mortgage (May 2012): £116,095, Mortgage at September 2012: £115,677.14

The main ones are Bratwurst, known as bratty's in this house and Frikadellen, known as Frikkies, we love them also some of the cold meats like bierwusrt etc are good and make a change from having ham in a sandwich! There are bargains to be had, the meat is usually good quality and cheaper for us than Asda, even with staff discount. We try a new item occasionally and decide if the change is worth sticking to. if you have ever had any of the Heinz big soups, then I definitely recommend their Chunky Soup as I believe it is identical and for only 69p instead of £1.08 it is a huge saving.
I lived for 17 years in Germany (army family) and miss lots of things from there, I keep saying I want to go back and visit, but as with most things, time and money stop me.Been here for a long time and don't often post
