How to kill Spiders in the home

I am scared stiff of spiders. We have been invaded by loads of them this [STRIKE]summer[/STRIKE] last few wet months. My lethal weapon to get rid of them is a vacuum cleaner with a long hose with my six year old seeing it as a fab game to get rid of them. I am such a wimp I cannot even get that close to them. My son has now clicked on to this though and is bartering with me for an increase to his pocket money. Cash well spent as far as I am concerned

Personally, I think if you need spiders to get rid of the other bugs, you're not using enough bug killer.

So, all the air vents around my house, the corners of windows and such where insects either live or enter the house are sprayed with dethlac. I haven't seen an insect of any type in here for a long time.

A good newspaper is good at getting rid of spiders, plus spiders do actually bite and those bites can become infected so I wouldn't say spiders are completely harmless.

You're meant to hit the spiders with the rolled up Daily Mail, not read it to them!

My MIL has a saying "If you want to live and thrive, let the spider stay alive" She's 91, it must work.

I love spiders, i'd like a Tarantula but my daughter won't let me have one. They're beautiful things, i could never kill one. Now flies, don't get me started.............
