How to kill Spiders in the home

We seem to have a spider problem. Since these last 2 weeks I am beginning to seem then all over my house. They are really freaking me out. What is the best way to kill them and get rid of them. I've done a quick google search and a lot of people reccomend some spray call Kybosh spray. Does anyone know if this is actually any good?

You don't have a spider problem, you have a phobia problem.

Spiders are harmless, and killing them is totally unnecessary. In fact, they are better than harmless, as they kill things that will harm you, such as flies carrying revolting infections.

You can get an anti-spider spray that deters them. Horse chestnuts deter them too, although you need large amounts. Maybe gather some this fall, if you have this problem anyhow?

I've noticed a lot more spiders in the last week or so too. The big knobbly ones, I escort out, or they soon become cat fodder :eek: but the smallish ones I let be. I've brokered a deal with them so that they eat the mosquitoes and flies that find their way in!

My brother has one and he says that it's very effective, humane and because it puts a barrier between him and the long-leggedy critters, yet allows him to 'handle' them, helped conquer his fear of them. :cool:

Very easy to say when you aren't terrified of the things!

This thread is so good its posted twice......it used to be conkers, now its horse chestnut that deter spiders. The revue of the second (3X) is so funny:D

Or the hoover if hes out! I did have one of those spider catcher things but theres no way Im getting within a foot of one so I dont use it!
