You might get £400 out of payday loans if your lucky, but not a hope of £4000.

Re going to Aus - you'll need a visa, they take a long time to process, sounds like you don't have that much time

PDL's - you stand no chance of getting £4k of them, even PDL companies are cautious enough not to do that

You will be creating a fraudulent application knowing you will vanish and don't have the income, it is entirely possible for a PDL company to try to start fraud proceedings - you could quite comfortably come home to find yourself picked up at the airport

Aus requires proof of savings/return ticket for a visa - if you have enough for that, you can make a huge dent in the debt

Sell everything, go to family and come clean "I messed up and am in the merde, I know you'll roast me hard for this forever and I deserve it, but please please help me out or I will be injured for £4k". A parent somewhere will somehow find £4k to stop you losing a hand.

    Tool yourself and face them.

Well in terms of emmigration. It's fudging confusing, but I believe that if you have a family member who is already a citizen of that country, who pledges to sponsor you then that can help you obtain a visa. As you won't be a burden on the state.

However, you cannot run away for ever. You need to face up and deal with the problem.

If you only owe £4000, I would sell the car, laptop, television, furniture, ask friends and family for a loan.

If you owe a bank / credit card firm. Then seeing as the world is so connected these days, that they will find you. (Technology makes the world a much smaller place) If you try to trick them by false identity, then that's called fraud and eventually it will come back to haunt you. The debt won't go away and if found gulity of fraud, perhaps a jail sentence?

If you owe the !!!!! or other organised gang money, then they might track you down regardless or how much or how far and make an example of you, I belive they call it "Omerta"? (or have I watched too many movies?)

If I sold everything I owned I would get around £700. These people are horrible. They would never accept a payment plan or anything like that.

I wouldn't be giving the loan companies false details. I am currently working but only enough to cover rent etc.

So there isn't anything these payday lenders can do? Do you know if it gets wiped after 6 years?
  • Well I've pretty much decided to do it. I've been through all other options, this is the last resort.

All I want to know is what will happen as a result?
If I'm away for 6 years will this be statute barred?
Also can I visit the uk in this time?

Whilst they cannot enforce the debt against your family, they will harass them until they get to you.

Who are the "nasty people" you owe money to?

You can't just turn up in Australia without a work visa. You'll need to be able to prove to them that you will be able to support yourself whilst you're there, how do you propose to do that ? If you only have a one way ticket, they'll be asking lots of questions, you might be put on the next plane home.

You won't be able to get A PDL for 4k. Time to face up to your problems i'm afraid. You're not being fair on your family by running away are you ?

It is 6 years for statue barred but whats to say you cant even get 4k in pay day loans ? then what would you do ?

Your willing to go to extreme lengths for 4k when you could ask friends/family for the money, even ask the friend in Aus and Fra for the money(as already suggested).

Also re the visa, not sure how long it takes but takes a few weeks i would have thought, how much is the flight say £700 so add that to the stuff you can sell which is £700 so thats 1.4k so another 2.6k to find.

Not sure on this myself but wouldn't the OP need to provide evidence he has the money to pay his way, ok so hes living with a friend but his friend might not be able to support himself plus the OP.

I have a relative in Australia who has asked if I'd like to go and live there for 2 years and will help to find me a job etc so I can start again.

You do realise that if you want to work in Australia you will either need to be under 30 and get a young persons working visa, which is only valid for one year OR get a skilled visa OR you will need to find an employer to sponsor you to stay in the country?

For the first you also have to prove that you have the funds to support yourself when you get there until you find work.

And for the second and third you must have skills that are in demand in Australia It is quite costly for the an employer to sponsor someone (usually graduates with a vocational degree, or skilled trademen), so if there is a local that fits the bill, guess who they will pick? What qualifications do you have?

It's not as simple as rocking up there and "working for two years".
