If you are away for 6 years it may become statute barred. However, the Payday loan company (if you can get one for the amount you need, which I doubt) could well get a CCJ against you which would not be statute barred - ever. Debts are not ever "written off", even if they become statute barred you can and probably will still be chased for them.

Visiting the UK would have no impact on this.

Your credit report will definitely be damaged for 6 years, maybe longer (I'm not sure how the National Hunter thing would work with this sort of fraud).

I also don't know how your credit report follows you to other countries, but CCJs are court proceedings, and while not criminal, they may be readable in other countries. Not to mention that taking a loan and intending not to pay it back is definitely fraud and is a criminal offence.

Basically, I understand your desperation but I dot't think your plan can possibly work.

If it was possible to get a payday loan, what would stop you doing that then agreeing a payment plan with the lender rather than trying to skip town?

    Good post, thanks.

CCJ, btw, is a civil matter, and they too may be time limited (not sure), but the problem you face is you will not get £4k in PDL's without reverting to fraud. Maybe they won't pursue that, who knows?

Just for info BTW, the amt owed to the PDL companies would be substantially higher than the £4k after fees etc added, not that it would matter much if you planned on defaulting anyway, may as well be hung for a horse as a sheep as they say. CCJ would not be instant, maybe after a year or so, so big extra debt, plus at least an extra year overseas if you wanted to keep ducking.

Again it's not from 1 lender it's accumulative.

Have you not heard of credit checks? You will not get £4000 in loans.

I'm not sure whether you are a troll or simply deluded?

400 off 10 pdl companies Is 4000 I'm not expecting to get it all from 1 company.

There are only a handful of actual lenders, the rest are just brokers taking a commission for bringing marks in. Just so you kknow!

you think I can get a zero percent pdl?

    no. more like 4214%.

if borrowed 4k your debt would be £168,560 after one year alone, and £7,103,118.40p after two years.........

i know you say you have no plans to return to the uk or to pay it back, but it still looks pretty scary, doesn't it?

He's a troll. That's why I asked for a moderator to lock this pointless thread down.

OP, Could I suggest an anonymous letter to the Police naming and shaming these rouges ?. Insert such phrases as 'pictures of naked children on their PCs'. They will be so busy 'assisting the Police' that you might be able to use the time to gain a second job and start paying them back.

Just for referance, you can work anywhere within the EU you wish, but some Countries such as Spain require a permit to work as this registers you on their system for purposes of benefits, healthcare etc.
    Never Knowingly Understood.

Its not a question of statued barred when you return, but being arrested for fraud.

Great idea, until they are released. Then they will be after blood, either the OP's or one of their family, and the OP will also have the police after them for wasting their time. You don't think it will take them long to work out who sent it, do you?
