Maybe when you touch down in Australia, you can immediately get some more payday loans?

Why not just get a £400 PDL then put it on a dead cert a 20 to one. No worries.
  • do loan sharks abide by statute barring?

I thought the types who kneecap don't worry about legislation and trifling things like the law...
  • As a matter of interest, how many separate PDL companies are there? I thought most of them used loads of different names. So you may well be applying to the same company twice which won't work

Or take them out under the names of different family members - after all, he doesn't care what happens to them once he's gone! ;)
  • this thread his hilarious! so loan sharks take notice of statute barring? PDL companies all credit check so you'd never manage more than 2 in one month, most only give 200 first time around.

Don't feed the troll i'd say although its quite funny

To be fair to the OP, it's the PDL companies who are going to be statute barred. Allegedly.

Jesus there are a lot of eejits on this thread. From not understanding basic questions and situations to making fun of my gambling addiction... Nice.

    1. At no point did I ever mention statute barring the initial £4000, only the payday loans I would use to satisfy the sum.

    2. At no point did I ever ask if I could get a zero % payday loan. It was a flippant reply at a very unhelpful time waster saying "how has your loan doubled" completely ignoring the fact that interest is charged to the £4000 loan.

    3. At no point did I ever say I would get a £4000 payday loan, I said I would get multiple loans which added together would make that sum.

It may be hilarious to you but it certainly isn't to me.

    Thanks anyway.

    Morning!

Right it is 3) that will be the tricky bit - there are just a few lenders, so I would be surprised if between them you could get more than £1500 all together, which is why I can't see this plan working. PDL lenders may be legal sharks, but they are also more cautious than to give multiple loans to unproven borrowers - they know they are the last resort of legal borrowing and so that dropouts will be sky high and they minimise their losses.

Because of this you need to find another way - any other way. And going to Oz isn't going to be it, frankly - the sheer cost if nothing else, and visa complications. Sell what can be sold (£700), ask work for a huge advance saying the option is leaving them, maybe another £1300-odd, friends, family, asking if they have any old stuff you can sell and owe them eg old phones, CD's, anything - maybe a few hundred quid. Parents, on your knees, borrow a grand. PDL to cover the few hundred quid shortfall. Then go over the debt-free wannabe board and start facing upto paying people back...

Honestly, it is doable and not worth losing knees over - you will really annoy a lot of people, but you can repair that if you stick around. It will take time, but that's life. BTW might I suggest a gambling charity for support - 12-step it any it will be a bigger boon than running away.

Joining a credit union may get you a few hundred (but *not* if you're still planning to run away).

As for the gambling addiction - people have made the very obvious point that, without sorting it out, you are emigrating for nothing. And doesn't Oz have a far worse gambling problem than here what with the slot machine culture?
