Thought I'd say hello on here seeing as I haven't in a while and I need to take time out from work as it's driving me spare today. I'll be leaving about this time next week (:j:eek:) and am trying to tie up as many loose ends as I can but people keep coming back to me with extra problems and even CAUSING problems, wanting to change stuff I've already got booked in  Really wish I'd been better at writing up procedures as I was going along now too - that had been the idea this time last year :o

Had a lovely weekend, went for spa and afternoon tea with my bestie on Saturday - was so lovely getting to spend some time with her just the two of us (no kids!) so I came away from there feeling very relaxed and zen. Did a ten mile run on Sunday morning which wasn't too much fun in the heat but was good in terms of being at the right level ahead of the GNR.

Yesterday I spent the day at the Edinburgh Festival with a couple of bloggy friends - it was brilliant and I definitely want to go for a bit longer one year, the atmosphere was great. Saw a couple of really good shows too (and a couple of meh ones - but that's all in the fun of it I guess!). I'm wrecked today though - was out of the house from 6.15am til midnight.

I've been fairly good on the diet and exercise front too and have lost a couple of pounds. I have no idea what this means in terms of my sig as I've been up and down so much I can't actually remember what my starting weight was :o:o

Right. I've drunk my tea (strawberry and mango ;)) now so should be refreshed and ready to plough back into work....

Eeeek one week left! :j I know what you mean about wishing you'd typed up procedures when you had the idea, when I left my previous job my last week was spent madly documenting how to do everything! :o Every time someone drives you mad just think 'This time next week I won't care!' :D

Glad you enjoyed the spa day and your day at the Edinburgh Festival. :) I haven't been up to the Festival for a long time (last time I was there it was with the dreaded ex! :o) but I do think it's fab! We were hoping to go this year as our friend now lives in the city centre which means free and easy accomodation but he's working every weekend we're free so we've had to put it off for another year (or 2). :(

    I'm trying!!

Yeah I loved the festival, would loved to have stayed over a few nights but it wasn't possible this year - and it was on my Day Zero list so I squeezed in a quick day trip so I could cross it off :D:o

I admire your dedication to your Day Zero list! :) I haven't even looked at mine for ages, I'm a bad Day Zero-er! :o

Hope work isn't too mad and busy for you- I imagine people will be panicking that you're definitely leaving now?! :)

Tete! I meant to ask, would you like my cat cardigan? The one I wore at the meet, didn't make the cut when I cleared my wardrobe but I put it to one side for you just in case. It's okay if not, I just thought it might be okay for your teachers wardrobe.

Hope work is okay, I had to make a bunch of "walk throughs" before I left Job No2 too. Fun! How's everything going in getting ready for school times?

Woohoo! I got my uni enrolment forms through today :)

We've now moved to my parents' house and I'm now sitting in my 'study' using my big TV as a monitor and avoiding doing any more maths prep ;)

I think my teaching wardrobe is okay at last - so long as I get schools where you can wear cardis, but as a primary teacher, should be fine (not sure what the swanky private school I'm going to first will be like, dress-wise, a friend who teaches at a private secondary school has to wear a suit every day! (so not me....))

I think comfort and move-ability is key in primary! Yeah my friend works in a private secondary and has to wear a suit every day, and I get the feeling my school errs on that side of things too. When I went to the induction the head of the teaching school bit said although he takes it off in the classroom, he would always put his (suit) jacket back on when walking around the school - although that may be because he's SMT...? I don't really mind what I have to wear as long as I can get away with flat shoes! :o

I can't remember the cat cardigan ... how can this be?! I reckon I'd love it though if you think it'll fit?!

Getting ready for school isn't going great if I'm honest, I have a lot to do before I'm at the stage I want to be at in Sept. Going to spend this weekend really blitzing the tidying/decluttering so at least I don't have all that to do when I finish work on Tues.

Speaking of work - I made the most gigantic c0ck up yesterday, I'm mortified. Never had such a bad afternoon in the 6.5 years I've been here, had to send out about 10 emails to people correcting info I'd given them - now when I email all my students to say I'm leaving they'll probably think I've been sacked :( And what it means is that all the stuff I had planned on doing yest aft is still to do :(:( Best get off here then...

Have a happy last day! Hope it's taken up with lots of gossip and coffee breaks and not a lot of work! :) Enjoy your Mexican food too, mmmm! :)

Hope that the massive c0ck-up has been sorted and forgotten by now too! I'd have laughed it off as my 'leaving gift'! ;)
