In [STRIKE]red[/STRIKE] have been done, in pink have been started. I'm in the middle of a total bombsite but it's actually heartening to see I've made progress. I can't stop looking at my neatly lined up, colour co-ordinated study shelf :D

Your little studio sounds lovely Kitty, I'm going to have to put the sewing machine away I think and make it my laptop table :o Can't imagine I'll have much time for sewing anyway. Yeah, I'm worrying about my grammar  but I had a flick through all my books earlier and am looking forward to having a better read/revise over the next few days.

Yes! Lurking Clutter is the worst Birdie! Mine's all out on parade at the mo :D I've binned/charitied a lot already and this is before I even start on my clothes. I keep having to say to myself, "Now come one, you didn't even know you had this so why do you want to keep it now?" :o:o

Mofo dating has gone off the boil - I think I exhausted all the best potentials in my little burst before. Honestly, the standard is just dire. I'm not really thinking about it anymore - I won't have the time to be fannying on with first dates soon so it'll have to go on hold. As Lady Gaga said,
“...remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn't love you anymore.”

Sorry I copy and pasted that from somewhere so it's come out a bit ... bold, but something I like to remind myself of from time to time - I've already made the mistake of losing my own way once and I won't do it again. Especially not for the wet flannels/meatheads on offer!!

And on that cheery note, I'm off to dig out my bed.

Glad to know the decluttering is going well! Have you got to the point of being so fed up of looking through boxes that you just tip the whole lot in the bin?! That's a great feeling! ;)

I have to admit to having a little exasperated giggle for you about the GCSE certificate! :o

Shame that the dating has gone off the boil and that the standard of available men is seriously lacking! You never know what'll happen though so just keep your eyes and mind open when out and about! :)

I'm 'lucky', in that having exhausted ;) the possibilities in Sussex, I've now moved county and so the world is my oyster again...........if I could be remotely bothered!

Kitty I thought you were in a relationship (albeit a bit fraught at one point)? Well there's nothing on offer on the SCITT programme but I haven't met all the teachers yet ;)

Erm, I'm not chucking whole boxes without looking (would never have found my GCSE cert if I was!) but I'm definitely not pondering for long! Just in from a run this morning and determined to get the top three items on the list crossed off today....

Congrats on finishing work and the impressive list tackling Tete! Is it wrong that I want to see a pic of the study shelf...?

Also one thing I thought might be helpful if you don't have it already is a little card stash for any birthdays etc that sneak up on you? If you have a Card Factory near you they do 7 cards for £1, I always keep a few in for emergencies.

  • It's never too late to plan a career. You can think what you want to do and where you want to go from here. It might take some time but now that you have realized that you have ignored your career and started thinking about you, you are sure to go a long way with it.

    Best Luck !

Ah yes, I got very bored and irritated by the ex (aka MrA as if I call him exOH, it'll sound like my hated ex husband, such complications ;) !!), so I decided that he just had to go.....I'm much happier now without having him dragging me down with his insensitive 'sense of humour' and general dullness, lol.

Now, why should I covet Sharpies? Answers asap - I have a 20% off a WHSmith voucher (they were handing them out last week) and at the mo, if you buy a pencil case, you can buy a mahoosive pack of Sharpies in every colour under the sun for £6.99. Are they worth it? What makes them so coooool for school? :)

I am a big lover of stationery, so need to know!!

Hi girls - that is a brilliant tip Shrimpy and one I saw on the TES forums a while back. I've been stashing up on cards and wrapping paper but the 7 for £1 was too good not to take up so I bought some extras for my stash the other day - thanks! Now, how was the wedding and honeymoon???

Kitty - Sharpies aren't anything THAT special I don't think - just pretty-coloured markers! I'm not actually sure what I'll use them for TBH! Love your description of the ex, wow!! Glad you're happier now :)

I think you've done well! It'll be so much easier to get the rest of your jobs done now you've got a decluttered, organised work/living space! :T

What are the main jobs for today? :)
